Preface: A poem potentially written by a character in a Fanfiction AU I'm writing on Ao3... under Ander_Bluemoon, if you care to check it out! Not sure if I'll actually include it in the story, maybe it's going to be something they write in their English class. This character uses they/them pronouns, by the way! I thought it would be okay to reuse a few recently used words, as technically, this isn't going to be my poem (you know what I mean).

Performance leads an argument

Showed efforts to control

Peacekeeper shares a sentiment

Failing to consol

Keep the facade

Permanent smile forever

Trekking the dessert, a mirage

Painstaking endeavor

No matter the pain

Follow the sun

Not the heat insane

Hear them call, I run

In fear of the name

How could it be 

It reminds of her remain

Holding onto me
