is there such a thing as having "dead wife" style flashbacks for your own childhood? just maybe!
also, I just wanted to make note here that after this "prologue" section finishes in about 5 or so pages, I'll be going on a small break. I need time to rebuild my buffer and recoup, as well as finish chapter 2 script/thumbing.

Chris Huang has been away from home for three years, isolating himself during his time at university. Newly transitioned, he’s hoping to rekindle old relationships, as well as keep a tether on his dwindling faith, by reaching out to his childhood friend Vi. She accepts and, in return, invites him on an opportunity to help her with her podcast, SpiritBox.
However, on their first night of filming an abandoned house of the edge of town, Chris encounters something unexpected. Unable to get the encounter out of his head, what follows is his spiraling obsession with whatever, or whoever, he found in that upstairs bedroom.
