Eugene visits an old friend <3
I think Eugene is too scared to confess anything regarding his homosexuality, so he's been pretty overdue talking about this stuff. I reckon he goes to a local priest to confess normal things, but hates that he's sinning by holding back.

I'm not 100% sure about Sean, but I think he teaches seminary and does theology on the side. He has a long term partner called Charles who also teaches, though they don't live together, they sure spend a lot of time in each others quarters, and someone totally saw them shopping for curtains one time.
