The planet Dromund Kaas is the Sith homeworld. The other planets, Fels, Tyne, Ixin, and Kalakar have remnant settlements to which the Jedi and the republic have teamed up to send aid and medicine.
The Order of the Dark Hunters received a tip that a republic envoy was operating near the planet Ixin. They engaged. A squadron of Republic pilots attempted a recue but they weren't ready for the oppression of the Dark Lord Kaifus.
