Kingdom of WuJi

Chapter 5

Chapter 5

Dec 11, 2025

The Central created the Levels System. Digitalize the information to make sorting easier. The information was sorted by, such as Role, Levels, Race, and Attributes. The Levels System also served as a foundation for other systems to build upon.

Astral’s Guidance created the Astral Path. They focused on the Astral Celestials’ path. At first, they were treated the same as Heretics. Soon, they realized they didn’t wish for the Astral Celestials’ descent. They obtained the power by following the path of Astral Celestials. For example, those who followed the Hunt would gain power through hunting. Astral’s Guidance had a daring theory that only they believed in. It was when the condition was met that celestial beings could be killed.

As for Plug-In, it was the only system without a commoner. Cytorn created the Plug-In system. Everyone could become an awakener by having a system spirit reside in their mind. There were different types of system spirits, such as Gacha Spirit. Granted the host ability via gacha. It was also the only system to have a rank on Type. And, there were no Traits in the system. The Type and Traits were shown together in the Pulg-In system.

Nurturer was supposed to become a new system. However, aside from the unique way of obtaining exp. It still relied on the other system to be functional. That's why it wasn’t listed as a system and was not included in any system.

As for authority, the creator of Plug-In controlled every host. Thus, every host must follow what the system spirit told them to do. If not, they would be eliminated. Central didn’t control anyone, but acted as an overseer. Astral’s Guidance was the only one who had total freedom. This led various organizations to form a structure. For example, Astral Co. served as the law department.

Currencies were formed and used throughout the regions. Central’s currency was Centrium, Astral’s Guidance was Astral Coin, and Plug-In was CCoin.

This was the “Eden Era”, where the universe was being explored. An era that was after the Extermination War occurred millions of years ago. Throughout the process, the universe’s rules and regulations were formed. Regions and Sectors began to form, as if preparing for a war. The treatment of humans had improved drastically over the thousands of years. And, many factory or incubator areas were created at the same time. This is the prologue of the Acension War.

Asagi and Sakura Hasegawa entered the headmaster's room. They had noticed Ye was deep in thought.

Asagi Hasegawa waved her hand, “Ye, we have done our things. Let’s go shopping.”

But Ye sat there as if not aware of what Asagi Hasegawa had said. Asagi Hasegawa approached Ye and patted Ye’s right shoulder.

Ye was startled, “OOhh… Both of you are ready… Sorry, I’m deep in thought just now…”

Asagi Hasegawa asked, “Ara~ Ara~ Is there anything I can help you with?”

Ye waved his hand, “No… I can handle it myself.”

Ye, Asagi, and Sakura Hasegawa were at the most famous shopping mall in Yue Lin, Moonlight Mall.

Moonlight Mall was a mall built around the concept of the moon. It was a white sphere-shaped building. The main feature of this mall was its ability to mimic how the moon emits light at night. The mall would use different lighting based on the theme of the festivals. It had five shopping levels, each level was sorted into various categories.

Sakura Hasegawa asked, “Sis, what should we buy?”

Asagi Hasegawa answered, “The things that can provide protection, defend, and escape.”

Sakura Hasegawa, “EEEhhhh, so normal.”

Asagi Hasegawa, “The other things, they know which suit them better.”

Sakura Hasegawa, “Cheah, booriiiing~.”

As Asagi Hasegawa recommended, they headed straight to the floor level to buy the items. They had purchased some gadgets that provide protection. At the time, they were heading to the next stop, and they had met all the selected students.

Asuka Hasegawa was the first to approach them and ask, “What are you buying?”

Asagi Hasegawa replied, “Some gadgets for tomorrow.”

Asuka Hasegawa continued to ask, “We are going to buy some equipment. Is it possible to provide a suggestion?”

Sakura Hasegawa nodded and replied, “Wooow~ Of course~.”

Asagi Hasegawa was reluctant to join the group. However, Sakura Hasegawa accepted the invitation. Along the way, the students’ conversations were obviously dropped. Sakura Hasegawa, on the other hand, was the same as ever. Ye did notice that Kousuke Sato was trying to talk to Asagi Hasegawa. However, Asagi Hasegawa would always be in conversation with Ye or Sakura Hasegawa.

The situation improved when they entered the equipment shop. All of them were separated, but for some reason, Asagi Hasegawa and Ye stayed together.

Ye stopped at the area of the Yuan Li controller. It was a tool used to form a shape to perform some action. Hence, this tool was commonly chosen by Traveller or Explorer. The Yuan Li controller was not a viable weapon choice for any role.

The Yuan Li controller that Ye chose was designed with a simple metal hilt. It could release the Yuan Li and, at the head, it could form a shape. The head was the concave part, and the tail was the convex part.

Asagi Hasegawa asked, “Ye, may I know what the purpose of this tool is?”

Ye replied, “It will be my weapon.”

Asagi Hasegawa was stunned that Ye would choose the Yuan Li controller as his weapon.

Asagi Hasegawa asked, “Is it because of the budget? If you don’t have enough Centrium, I can lend you some.”

Asagi Hasegawa tried to persuade Ye to choose a better weapon. In her opinion, the Yuan Li controller couldn’t be used as a weapon.

Ye shook his head and replied with a smile, “No need. This will do.”

Then, Ye continued searching for equipment that may be useful. Asagi Hasegawa followed after a moment of silence. Ye saw Kotaro Fuuma, who was deep in thought.

Ye checked the katana and asked, “May I know what you are considering?”

Kotaro Fuuma was startled.

He calmed down and answered, “AAAhhh… Sir, oh, sir… I’m considering which weapon I should choose. Well, you know, mostly I just provide tactics suggestions.”

Ye nodded and asked, “How will you rate your defense in combat?”

Kotaro Fuuma answered, “Sir, I’m not confident in the counter. But, blocking and avoiding crucial hits. I’m confident.”

Ye nodded and gave his suggestion, “You can choose the katana that has higher durability. If you have the budget, you can consider weapons with the control trait. As for weight, lightweight is better for long-duration combat.”

Kotaro Fuuma, his eyes were sparkling, “Oh… Sir, I got it… I appreciate your guidance.”

Ye waved his hand and replied, “Not much, just a suggestion. Take your time. I will continue.”

Asagi Hasegawa was amazed by Ye’s suggestion. Ye didn’t suggest a weapon based on attack and ingredient first. Ye considered the usage of weapons and combat style. Then, only gave the suggestion.

As Asagi Hasegawa and Ye continued shopping at the equipment shop, a voice stopped them.

Kousuke Sato asked, “Big sis Asagi. Could you help me with my equipment?”

Asagi Hasegawa turned stern, “Kousuke. I have told you to address me as Ms. Hasegawa or Ms. Headmaster. Even if we are not in school.”

Kousuke Sato asked, “Why? Why can’t I continue to call you, big sis Asagi?”

Asagi Hasegawa replied, “Your brother, Kyosuke, and I had already broken up. Our identity returns to its original state.”

Kousuke Sato asked, “Why can’t it be the same? Although you had broken up with my brother. You can still be my big sis Asagi. Am I wrong?”

Asagi Hasegawa nodded, “Yes, you are wrong. I couldn’t be your big sis Asagi anymore.”

Asuka Hasegawa, who was beside Kousuke Sato, asked, “Why? I thought you viewed Kousuke as a brother. Are those actions an act?”

Asagi Hasegawa replied, “I think it’s better to return to the original state. It will be troublesome for both Kyousuke and me.”

Asuka Hasegawa stared at Ye and asked, “Is it because you found a new partner? He mind this relationship?”

Asuka Hasegawa’s questions had attracted the students and Sakura Hasegawa. While Asagi Hasegawa and Ye were startled, the others’ eyes were sparkling.

Asagi Hasegawa sounded coldly, “Enough of this nonsense. If you are not asked for a suggestion, then go back to select your equipment.”

Everyone returned to select their equipment. After the farce, Asagi Hasegawa and Ye bumped into Lin Yi and Ying. Both of them had their eye on the same weapon, and both were reluctant to back off.

Asagi Hasegawa asked, “May I know the reason both of you chose this sword?”
