A few hundred years ago, humanity was confronted with an evil now forgotten. To protect themselves from any contamination, a group of about several hundred people chose to exile, far from any other population.
They then discovered a deep fault, offering safe shelter and varied spaces to meet their needs and produce the resources necessary for their survival.
Everyone settled in the spaces corresponding to their knowledge and skills. But only a year later, tensions appeared between the five groups that had formed, and boundaries began to be drawn within the rift.
To regulate these conflicts, each group appointed a representative. Together, they clearly delineated the spaces and wrote the first laws of the rift, which quickly became a real city.
Thus, the inhabitants were divided into five castes:
• The Gems, occupants of the caves: powerful, strict and wise, they take care of mining operations and the protection of the city.
• The Swarm, inhabitants of the cliff side: benevolent, faithful and reliable, they federate and assist the other inhabitants.
• The Sylves, residents of the forest at the top of the cliff: calm, friendly and close to nature, they manage medicine, knowledge related to the fauna and flora of the fault, as well as part of the plantations.
• The Silent, occupants of the springs at the top of the second cliff: wise, rigorous and charismatic, they oversee the organization of the city, the writing of archives and entertainment.
• The Echoes, inhabitants of the bottom of the fault: creative, free and curious, they take care of engineering, part of the plantations and livestock.
Thanks to this organization, the city prospered and developed without major conflicts.
