Alarm blares as smoke drips, haunted sewage
A failed chemical mix I fed like brewage
I look on in disgust and sigh
The subject looks something putrid
It won’t matter much, ‘case it happens to die
They’ll fetch more but my ego will hurt stupid
“Dr. Neumann. Do you require assistance?”
Ah. Sho Mallory, my recent assistant..
Who I did not ask for, but Zephyrs insisted
“Take it outside, ‘case life turns non-existent--
I cannot have stench clouding my concentration” (among other reasons I listed)
She meekly nods and rolls the body out
Leaving I, Scimon, to ponder my next route
I soon turn in for the day.
Late that night, the branches of trees sway
Outside my window where I watch them work away
The successful ones on the yard I had seen
I cannot help but sigh again, at what they mean
The fact I can alter their state only so far
My experiments so far have been subpar
“Damn it!”
To the facility’s credit
I bang my fist against the pane
Yet it stays in tact, completely same
Just like Cypra
Who has yet to awaken, only I’m to blame
Yes, only I’m to blame.
