Chapter- 8:

It's now a do or die situation.

Revaer huffs as he sits near the flaming fire, Mikoshi stands on lookout as she narrows her eyes and turns around. 

“Say,, why are we doing this again?“

Amayki sighs as she tilts her head, her axolotl tail swishing softly behind her as she responds.

“Miko, we're literally on a planet we don't know, we don't know what to do, so the best option right now is survival. And I have absolutely NO idea how we can withstand these beastsmen from a whole new universe.” She points at Revaer and Mivazi, who look dumbfounded before continuing, “And somehow… we can understand their language for absolutely no apparent reason!“ She adds

Mikoshi hisses, her tail swishing furiously behind her, she is not happy with this situation. While her and Amayki partnered up with Revaer and Mivazi as accomplices, there is zero trust in this group. If one gets left behind, they stay behind. 

Mivazi, who knows that fidgets nervously with her fingers, looking down, her ears flopping down slightly droopy. Showing her nervous and anxious feelings.

“…” she stays silent, trying to speak up, but no words come out of her trembling mouth.

Revaer frowns, noticing Mivazi's anxious and nervous state as he takes a deep breath. While he is prey and Mivazi is a predator, she's still a kid who doesn't know much. He extends his arm towards Mivazi, smiling softly. Mivazi's ears perk up, and her tail behind her slightly wags as she comes over and sits down with Revaer, finding comfort in his embrace.

Mikoshi rolls her eyes, scoffing, as she says, sharply.

“A predator and a prey, even in Thalorion there is no such thing as predator and prey 'mingling'. How absurd.“ 

Amayki nudges Mikoshi's shoulder roughly, giving her a sharp look. She chuckles softly, rubbing the back of her neck and looking back at Revaer and Mivazi.

“Sorry, Miko didn't mean that. She was just surprised. Isn't that right?“ 

She gives her narrowed look to Mikoshi, making her groan and nod reluctantly.

Revaer, who notices this, just scowls and looks away, hiding his expression. He had only asked for Mikoshi and Amayki to partner up because he could use them as bait when there is trouble. He glances down at Mivazi, who is resting in his arms and tightens his grip around her. 

“That's… good to know, I suppose.“ He says reluctantly.

The air is filled with tension, and… awkwardness. The silence creeps on, making everyone except sleeping Mivazi uncomfortable. Mikoshi, who can't bear the silence anymore, turns around swiftly and groans.

“I can't take this anymore! I'm going out to look for supplies.“ She states firmly.

Amayki flinches as Mikoshi suddenly storms off and raises her hand, trying to grab her.

“Miko, wait-”

But she's too late, and Mikoshi storms away, going into the darkness of the night.

Amayki sighs as she slumps down against the wall, distancing herself from Revaer and Mivazi as she places her head on her curled up knees.

“Hahh… that girl…” she mumbles.

Mikoshi, who stormed off, grumbles and growls in anger and frustration as she kicks a can in her rage.

“Ugh! Why me? Why is it always me..?! The one who has to deal with everything..! the one who is responsible for everything..!! It's always me!“ She yells in anger.

“You don't have to deal with it alone.“ A voice speaks up.

Mikoshi feels a chill go down her spine when she hears the voice and reaches for her staff immediately, looking around the alleyway.

“W-Who was that?!“

The voice cackles, and it echoes throughout the alleyway.

“Just… a person. Who can put you out of your misery.“

Mikoshi stumbles back, her eyes shaking as a figure comes closer in the shadows. 

“What..? Show yourself!“ 

The voice chuckles, and sighs.

“Your wish, is my… COMMAND!“

a figure suddenly lunges out from the shadows towards Mikoshi, as Mikoshi's eyes widen, seeing a sword flying towards her with the figure holding it.
