As they marched toward the maze, Ye had found out a problem with the students. The students’ methods for using Yuan Li were not proficient. The students' exhaustion happened frequently. It was not a good sign for a task force in Ye’s opinion. 

Ye asked Asagi Hasegawa, “Did you notice the problem?”

Asagi Hasegawa nodded, “The students’ exhaustion happened frequently. They used Yuan Li excessively for each attack and skill.”

Sakura Hasegawa suggested mischiefly, “Why don't you demonstrate them? The correct way to use Yuan Li.”

Asagi Hasegawa endured her anger with a smile, “Sakura, now is not the time for playing.”

Sakura Hasegawa noticed her sister was angry. She ran in the other direction, “Murasaki, what are you doing?”

Asagi Hasegawa apologized to Ye, “Sorry, you don’t need to pay attention to her.”

Ye looked at Asagi Hasegawa, “Actually, it is a good suggestion.”

Ye’s reply dumbfounded Asagi Hasegawa. She never thought that Ye would go along with Sakura Hasegawa’s mischievousness.

During the rest, when everyone was seated. Asagi Hasegawa announced what the instructors had observed. She encouraged and pointed out some mistakes they had made. Then, she invited Ye to demonstrate the method of using Yuan Li.

Ye stood up, “Based on the observation, everyone knew what the methods of using Yuan Li are. But you all had little proficiency in it. This led to excessive use of Yuan Li on each action. Increased the exhaustion of your body. It seemed like you all were belittling the methods. I will demonstrate the refined way of using Yuan Li.”

“Firstly, Armament. The basic ways are Hardened and Unleashed. As you all learned, Hardened allowed you to coat the Yuan Li over something, your weapon or your body. Unleashed allowed you to discharge your Yuan Li. You can control it outside of your body.”

“The refined ways are Emission and Transformation. Emission allowed you to deal damage from inside. Which can also cause the defense break debuff to occur.”

Ye moved toward a nearby large tree and placed his palm on its trunk. Ye’s arm turned black, indicating the area had his Yuan Li. Then the black part moved to his palm. Lastly, the palm returned to its original state. 

*Bang*

The large tree had fallen. They could see the trunk had been destroyed from the inside. All of the students were stunned. While others were stunning, Ye returned to his place.

Ye continued, “If you do it in your attack. You won’t need to keep using the skill continuously. Additionally, using more Yuan Li in a skill doesn’t mean more damage. This could let you have time to regenerate and wait for skill cooldown. Next is Transformation.”

“Transformation allowed you to transform your Yuan Li into a shape or an object. This led to an easier movement control.”

Ye raised his left hand, and a black mist came out from his palm. The black mist formed into a sphere on his fingers. The black sphere grew darker. Ye flicked off the sphere to another nearby large tree. The tree was destroyed, and Ye moved his finger. The black sphere, as if controlled, moved in the direction Ye had pointed.

Ye continued, “For those who use it well, especially those who have elemental type. Could be a deception as a mage.”

“The next method is Investigation. Usually, we use it to check others’ status, detect traps, and avoid attack.” 

“The first refined way is Keen Eye. This allows you to see the route to land a critical hit. The way the route is demonstrated to everyone is different. For example, it can be a thread. It was a feeling that could only be experienced by yourself. Therefore, I couldn’t demonstrate to you. But I could advise you to focus on it when using the attack.”

“The second refined way is Conceal. It could conceal you from being detected by the five senses. If you had mastered it, even the skills for the five senses would be unable to detect it.”

Ye then used the Conceal. Everyone was stunned because Ye had disappeared for a second. Asagi Hasegawa had a question on her mind, and she decided to ask Ye later.

Ye continued, “The last one is Deterrent. This is the hardest way to use a Yuan Li. Most people don’t fully research it. Most people used it to apply a paralyzing debuff on their enemies. This is not wrong, but it’s only worked on those weaker than you. The efficient way to use it is to coat your skill or attack with it. Which could apply a Dot debuff on your enemy, depending on the damage.”

“The refined way is Domain. This allows you to debuff anyone who comes into contact with your Yuan Li. But you will benefit from the domain. The benefit varies, depending on the purpose of your domain.”

Ye unleashed his domain, and he closed it in a second. Everyone who had contact with Ye’s domain felt complete darkness. No, to be exact, not total darkness because they could see the dim source of light. However, the world was in black and white. And the light felt distant, even though it was just in front of them. Then there was no sound, an absolute silence. Even the sound of heartbeat and breathing could not be heard. They felt suffocated and had pain in the chest, as if something was on their chest. 

It was just a second, but they felt it was more than that. All of this experience came from a second, and what's more, it was not the domain’s full potential. This was what made Asagi Hasegawa feel dangerous.

Ye continued, “When you applied the method of using Yuan Li on the skill. It may have worked differently. We do have four skill slots, but with different methods of using Yuan Li, you may have more than four. You may discover different ways of using the same skill. That’s all for now.”

Ye didn’t know how much the students could absorb. Ye didn’t expect them to be able to use it right away. Just felt that if they had remained in this state, the chances of survival would be nearly zero.

A few hours had passed, and the distance they had marched was much more than before. The number of rest had dropped drastically. From needing a rest after each hunt to resting after an hour. At the same time, a number of them had gotten a hunch of how to use the refined way.

Asagi Hasegawa, Sakura Hasegawa, and Murasaki Kubo were surprised by how quickly the students were growing. The one who grew drastically was Kotaro Fuuma. From someone who had barely passed the combat battle, to have an excellent grade. Additionally, he was the first to get a hunch about using the refined way.

The night drew near, and Asagi Hasegawa ordered a search for a place to rest. The rest area that they found was a cave. Sakura Hasegawa and Murasaki Kubo searched for resources to build a gate. The other students would prepare a place to rest. At the same time, Asagi Hasegawa and Ye will be preparing dinner. Well, to be exact, Asagi Hasegawa was preparing dinner. Ye was just an assistant to help Asagi Hasegawa since Ye’s cooking was a disaster.

Two portable toilets, two portable vapour-bathing cabins, and fifteen sleeping cabins were set up. Sakura Hasegawa and Murasaki Kubo cut some lumber and built a gate. Ye skinned the mutated monsters for Asagi Hasegawa to cook. Some of the students were resting in the sleeping cabins. Some of the students were using the vapour-bathing cabins to bathe and clean. And some of them were discussing.

When Asagi Hasegawa informed them that dinner was served, everyone gathered quickly. Ye distributed the food, tableware, and a nutritional paste to everyone. Nutritional paste was a paste that could increase the stats of the consumer. Nonetheless, the stat was not guaranteed to rise. Additionally, the consumer may not be accustomed to their own stat.

During the meal, Asagi Hasegawa sat next to Ye in a corner and asked, “The Conceal, can it conceal the detail in status?”
