A short scene of Sam's first full moon, the morning after. Drawn earlier this year (2025).
Writing Sam's first full moon transformation is something I struggled with for years as a newbie writer to figure out how to write stuff that isn't boring without also burning myself out drawing a ton of pages.
Packing in more action and fight scenes wasn't making it any more interesting to me and was bulking up the page count into something unmanageable.
I finally figured out eventually to trust people to figure out things by themselves without every moment being explicitly shown to them.
I'm not sure if it says something about me that the aftermath of a fight with a werewolf is more interesting to me than the actual fight.

The characters in this series were re-cast as characters in my other comic project, Monster Knight.
These comics were drawn sporadically over the course of many years and were not drawn in story chronology order.
This is mostly an attempt to compile the many comics I've drawn with these characters in a place that is actually web-readable.
