Imani wakes up around the same time every morning. She polishes her horns, does her hair, carefully put on all her jewels, and gets ready for the day. Though today was much different. It wasn't rare for many high elves to leave at once, so long as one remained in the city they were able to go where ever. Of course being down to four made things much harder but it's whatever.
She finished tying her hair back and wiped her gem off, she then made sure her makeup was nice. Everyone met at the trail to the very north and there were zarrows lined up. zarrows are special birds known for their transport but these ones especially had been trained for quick travel.
"How come there's only three?" Yoshi took her bag off.
"One of us prefers flying themselves rather than just letting the bird do it." Imani placed her hand on her hip. Taru turned and squinted at her. "I… they always start biting at my hair okay! I can ride currents just fine I don't need a bird to do it for me!"
"Dramatic much…" Imani snorted. "But if you're confident in your ability who am I to stop a young one from growing?" She took her bag off as well and began to attach it to the birds straps. "Now we'll be there for about four days. The Captain wanted us to come early so we could also talk over important things."
Once everyone was set they, except Taru's dramatic ass, all got on their zarrows and took off. Taru simply trailed after. It wasn't that long of a flight. As the trees thinned they could see the plains of Oracle. It was a completely flat land of dead grass and no trees… A big peninsula that many boats rested at the end but also decorated the waters around it. In a land with such bad soil, fishing was the way to go. Some still do manage to grow stuff but the hassle isn't worth it unless the one has a nature path. Which is why they're so ready to trade their wares and catches.
The zarrows landed just outside of Sunrise. It was one of the rare places that wasn't littered with boats, wrecks, and makeshift homes. Which made it a great greeting spot. As they got off and began walking footsteps came running up the path. An elf with cyan horns and very fluffy two toned purple hair. She had one eye sown shut and the other was bright pink. She was dressed in a fluffy cloak and quite the nice attire. All red and black. Her horns had a thin strip of cloth around them and a net was around one of her arms.
"So is she also related to you." Yoshi pointed. Taru made a face. "No… I already told you not every elf with purple hair is related to me… Is she related to you cause she has cyan horns?"
"Plus she doesn't have the weird pupils like him." Jemm spoke. They both looked at him before Taru opened his manaslate to look at his face. "… my pupils aren't weird…"

"Vyshima, Always a pleasure to see you." Imani stopped in front of her. "Or should I call you Captain since we're here on business for this first day."
The Captain rolled her eyes, stepping beside Imani and nudging her side. "Every time you come back here you always hit me with that formal shit, none of that just speak casual. So who's your crew with you, you usually come by yourself." She crossed her arms.
Imani smiled before motioning. "This is Yoshi Myi, she's the fourth seat, and this is Taru…"
"…Abrexi." He continued.
"Abrexi, he's the third seat. They've both recently taken their seats within the last year. And this is Jemm… Oh dear I don't know your name either."
Jemm tilted his head. "Uh… Torrif."
Imani nodded. "He's Taru's assistant." She turned back to the Captain. "I see… Well come on no sense standing out here in the cold nothin. I'll introduce y'all to my crew." And so they began walking. As they made it through the plains they soon came on more marshy and lower sandy land near the water. Several wooden shacks and washed up boats littered the shore. Standing near the marked beginning of these littered homes was another elf with red and purple ends, light green eyes and indigo horns. he wore the same shade of red and black as The Captain.
He bowed once they got close before resuming his stance. "Captain, are these the guests you mentioned?"
The Captain nodded, before turning to them all. "Gang, this is my right hand Jasper Jays." She smiled. "If you need anything while you're here just refer to he or I and we'll do our best to help you."
Jasper hummed, smiling between them. He had an eerie calmness about him that really… none of them wanted to comment on.

They made their way down through the homes. Wooden planks and stones had been laid to outline the paths which were filled with gravel and sand. "Now we can go to the ship first. Is everyone on there?" The Captain looked to Jasper who tucked his hands behind his back.
"Last I checked… Jullie is in her place as always. Cyi went with the louder Passal to get supplies and the quieter Passal is helping the Monroe's move things." He spoke.
She nodded. "I see, then I suppose we'll do business first and meetings later." She stopped at the end of a ramp up to one of the larger boats. Red cloth was rolled up on the mast and silver trims lined some of the edges. "Welcome to the Dragonsmouth. I should formally welcome you to the ship as the head of the Dragonsfangs. I am Captain Vyshima Tyms though you can simply call me Shima or just Captain. Now if you would up the ramp, carefully she's a bit unsteady."
They all gave their greetings before going up the ramp. The deck of the ship was so… very nice… there were many places to sit but the items out looked ready to be rolled away and stored in an instant.
Sitting behind one such area was an elf with dark hair and purple ends, dull purple horns and deep eyes. She too wore red, black, and white. She looked up as they approached and gasped. "Aaaah Captain you're back~ Hello…"
The Captain smiled and reached out, patting her on the head. "This is Jullietta Jones. She's our secretary."
"Though only if you enjoy playing telephone… it's easier to just tell us yourself." Jasper mumbled which earned a flick from The Captain. "No one is perfect. That's all." She shook her head. "She does her best and I appreciate her for that."
She turned. "Now let's be off to my office. We have much to discuss, will these three be joining?" She motioned. Imani shook her head. "This is a matter of trade only. You three can stay out here alright? We'll be back in a moment." She smiled and the two walked off.
Jasper stepped between Jemm and Taru, leaning over Yoshi. "So I can show you three around the ship while they talk. Or better yet the town."
Taru jolted slightly while Jemm and Yoshi simply looked up at him. "Sure…"
"Hey Jullie we'll be off, stay right there no wandering." Jasper pointed. Jullie nodded, before waving. "Bye bye~" She smiled.

The Captain sat on the couch in her office. Imani sat across from her. "Now… We need to retalk the routes between here and Crescent Grove. Because of the tensions from those in the Exile camps we're unable to go through those waters without risking attack. Also that route is too long. Going through the plains has been best for wares but not fish. So we need better ways to keep the sea catches fresh so they can reach." The Captain began, pouring two cups.
Imani nodded. "I see, well communications are usually delayed so by the time I could send any of my girls to help it would probably be much too late. How about instead we give you cooling boxes. Not just you but anyone who deals in mass trades for any zone that requires travel on land."
"Acceptable. How would these boxes work however? Are they fueled by mana or other means what we would have to figure out ourselves?" The Captain picked up a drink. Imani picked one up as well. "I will create a special schematic so they can take small doses of pure mana to begin cooling. Past that it'll be up to the transporters to keep it cool."
Vyshima took a long sip, before letting the cup crane with her hand. A smirk spread on her face and she laughed. "Man, you love comin in and reminding me how smart of a cookie you are. I love that about you Ice queen~"
Imani took a sip of her drink as well before she smirked. "I suppose that means business is over then? I'll have to draw those schematics once I'm back in my office and Taru is set to go to the peak so I can have him go cross any other materials needed for a prototype."
"I suppose it is." She finished her cup and set it down. Imani stood and walked over, sitting next to her, setting her half drank cup next to hers. She then sat back on her arm. "Now then, I suppose that means we can talk about non business things. Hm?"
She reached up and brushed her hair behind her ear, caressing her cheek and pulling her face just a bit closer as she leaned towards her. "I suppose it does…" The Captain smirked. "So what are we talking about this time~"

The four of them walked around. There was a lot more to see than they thought. Many of the bigger ships that got washed ashore were turned into businesses, a lot of trading stalls and fish markets. Boats that were permanently docked seemed to similarly be lounges and restaurants. How unique. They stopped at an open space and Jasper turned to them all, motioning to the statue. "This is the sun compass. As you know we utilize stargraphers quite strongly here since many go onto the sea. This compass was made from the scrap of the first wreak here as a memorial. It helps tell time and a cautionary about faring the sea when it's not safe." He hummed. "Of course now we understand when is best for travel, mapping, and fishing respectively.
They all nodded and Jasper clapped. "Perfect, how about I take you all somewhere to rest. I'm sure you're tired and It'll be a while before Captain V and your friend finish their talks. So let's go find grub." He began walking again.
"This place is really interesting." Jemm looked around.
"How do the shacks now tall over…" Yoshi mumbled.
Taru didn't say anything, he just listened to the two of them banter back and fourth as they walked. When they reached a place they all sat down, though before Taru could Jasper placed a hand on his shoulder. "You, come help me carry some stuff to the table yes?" He walked away before he could answer, so Taru simply obliged him. They stepped into a space near the counter and Jasper leaned in. "So you are like the one the Captain is fond of? That's interesting." He spoke. "You have eyes like Jullietta, and this entire time I could tell your complete disinterest."
Oh fuck.
"I uh… It's not you or this place I swear." He shook his head. "I'm just not very fond of travel… or communication…" Taru sighed.
"Really? Hm… I could see it, you have been very distant even with your own companions. That's not good in the long run you know, it makes it much harder to talk to someone if they're constantly distanced." He began filling cups.
"Uh… Y… Yeah…" He made a face. Why is he being lectured and they just got here… he really didn't mean to be rude he just has a hard time fixing his face…
"I would like to get to know you better. Meet me in my quarters once we go back to the ship?" He picked up all of the cups just fine.
Wait what…
what??
Taru blinked. "Huh… why there…"
"The Captain says getting to know someone personally is best done between just those two people." Sounds like her excuse for being alone with Imani…

"You're staring at them." Yoshi spoke. Jemm shook his head and turned back to the table. "No I'm not I was just… looking around at the place."
"You've been acting real strange all of a sudden what's the deal?" She pointed.
Jemm put his hands up. "I'm not strange. I'm completely normal." Said only a liar.
"What did you and Taru get into an argument or something?" She leaned her face into her hand. "I don't believe that since you're both very… something… but I also don't doubt it since he's an asshole."
"I already told you it's nothing-" He squinted and the two returned just as he came back. Taru set the drinks down and Jasper set a plate in the middle. "This stew is really great, I'm glad you all get to try it." He sat down and so did Taru.
Taru didn't really know what to say, he's still thinking about and contemplating the fact that Jasper asked him to his room… he usually only ever gets invited to someones room when they wanna do stuff… So he's not exactly sure what to think of it in this context.
Jemm looked between them before he quickly poured a bowl and offered it to Taru. "Here, you used a lot of mana flying so you should eat!" He held it out.
Taru looked down at the bowl. "Oh… I didn't use that much-"
"Taru." He stared at him. Taru took the bowl and started eating.
Yoshi just snorted and got herself some as well. They all sat there eating. As they were another elf came walking up. They pat Jasper on the shoulder. "Hey small fry there you are! We swung by the ship and Captain V said you took some important guests around town. These them?" The elf had long locked hair that was blonde and orange. They too wore the same colours as everyone else.
Jasper wiped his mouth before motioning. "This is Mercyi Scry. They're our dear seasoned Navigator and Stargrapher." He hummed.
They stood and looked over the table, waving.
"Taru…"
"Yoshi."
"Jemm."
"Nice to meet all of you. Well I just came to find you, the two of them are done with their negotiation so she wanted me to tell you all to come back so we could have a little welcome party." Mercyi placed their hands on their hips.
Jasper sighed, his ears sagging. "Sounds like an excuse to drink booze. No matter… Once she has her mind on something like that even I can't change it. Guess we'll have to endure." He smiled. "We'll be back in ten."
Mercyi saluted to them and walked away.

Food? Consumed. Bill? On a tab. They made their way back to the ship and it was minimally decorated. The Captain walked over, opening her arms. "Welcome back! Come on and don't be a stranger I wanna get to know all of y'all!" She motioned.
Yoshi shrugged and went to go sit with Imani while Taru began to walk but Jasper took his arm. "Actually V, we'll be out in a moment. I wanted to speak with him myself first."
The Captain's eyes narrowed at him. "Keep it cordial." She spoke in a low tone before her bright one came back, she threw her arm around Jemm. "Let's go the party won't wait!"
Jemm was going to protest but oh damn those muscles he is not winning even if he wanted to.
He just… watched the two walk away. He really has a weird feeling about that guy…

Taru is... not one of the most popular elves. Upon the disappearance of the previous third seat he has been forced to take a job he doesn't enjoy, and most don't enjoy seeing him have it. He is a coward who doesn't enjoy any sort of contact with others. Though as fate would have it a chance meeting and a task from the second high elf would be the start to many strange series of events.
