Jack, and Sean all followed me downtown where city hall was. All of us were running at the same pace until Jack blurred away. Sean and I were last to get to the area that was under attack. Once we were there we saw that many people were running for their lives in fear.

Dr. Lee and his superhumans moved in on Michael Kang in manner of seconds. D.O.D showed up with a large group of Drex-corps guards. I stood in awe as they began apprehending innocent people and loading them up onto their trucks. The task force arrived minutes later firing at the superhumans full force.

Gizmo, Raven, and Agent Hex all arrived.  Dr. Lee stepped up to the mic and began to speak. The task force was ordering people to evacuate the area as quickly as possible. Everything was happening so fast. This was how everything would begin. Whatever the future held it will be because of this moment.

"People of Darko city.... I'm here today to send a message to you all. Everyone believes that I am the true enemy but that is not the case. A threat that I have felt its presence linger since the Darkest Night I fear is approaching us and the thing that comes with it will destroy us all. Everyone needs to learn to come together before it is too late. Today I will give you an example of the future." Dr. Lee said as he pointed toward Giz-tech.

I looked up to see a burst of energy which knocked me off my feet. I hit the ground and watched as Giz-tech partially began to collapse. I could see other building getting destroyed as well as moving cars getting blasted into buildings.

There were dozens of bodies lying on the ground. I adjusted my goggles as I stood to my feet and brushed the dirt off my jacket. It was too late to stop the explosion now especially I had no idea he had even planted the bomb already. Dr. Lee seemed as if he was one step ahead the entire time. I watched as more people got caught in the crossfire of the task force and Drex-corps' shoot out.

Jack was nothing more than a blur as he moved around trying to take out as many of the Drex-corps guards as possible. Gizmo and Dr. Lee were teleporting all over the place chasing after one another. I tried to go after them but they were moving around too much. D.O.D appeared in front of me. I hated the fact she reminded me of someone I once knew. I watched as the electrical energy around her arm changed it into a gun. She fired at me causing me to sprint in the opposite direction.

She was able to move extremely fast and caught up to me with ease. Her arm was now a large blade and she swung at me neck. I barely dodged it as I stumbled to the ground. I rolled to my feet as she tried to tackle me but I grabbed her shirt and slammed her on the ground. I jumped over her and ran back to city hall. Things were getting worse because Gizmo was taking a heavy beating from Dr. Lee.

He was on the ground pinned down by Dr. Lee's foot. A ball of energy was forming in Dr. Lee's hand. He was preparing to kill Gizmo with one final blow.

"Well John...did I ever tell you about a prophecy of two young warriors. The two are destined to fight until the end of time or until one submits to the other."

He smiled as he stared at me strangely. I began to wonder if he was talking about Gizmo and I. He sighed unhappily as he closed his hand causing the ball of energy to disappear.
"You did all this just to prove a point?" You might have killed hundreds of people!" I yelled.

"The task force has done things far worse than this. Especially the Coverts....why do you think they are called that?" Dr. Lee asked causing me to look at Gizmo. He looked away as he slowly got to his feet.

"Don't blame any of them for those things....it was my decision." Gizmo said as he looked away to see what was happening.

Dante had already escaped with the mayor. The superhumans were still causing problems for the task force. Nothing was right and I realized that this might be the future.

"Gizmo you are truly misguided in your pursuit to seek vengeance upon me." Dr. Lee said.

Gizmo stared at him with pure hate. D.O.D appeared next to Dr. Lee prepared to protect him from Gizmo.

"Who is she?" I asked causing him to turn to me with a slight grin on his face.
"I told you that she is my daughter. She is a part of the D.O.D program." He said as he place his shoulder on her.

She glanced at him with a strange look of admiration. It was clear she wasn't machine technically because she was a clone first and also had a soul. I sighed deeply as I charged at him full speed. Gizmo did the same and we found ourselves in a difficult battle.

D.O.D wouldn't let me get close to her creator at all which meant Gizmo had to fight alone. Gizmo was the smartest man I knew and he was an incredible fighter but Dr. Lee was just as smart and clever as Gizmo.

He also had years of experience with the teleportation ability. Dr. Lee disappeared leaving behind a strange form energy everywhere he went. I did the best I could to fight off D.O.D but she was extremely swift in her movements. It was difficult to counter anything she did. 

She didn't show much emotion nor did she speak much. She was a fighter and that's all she cared to be. I grunted in pain as her bladed arm cut my shoulder. I waited until the burning mist appeared as I felt the wound close. She stared at my shoulder with confusion.

I lunged forward and hit her chest with my palm and knocked her hard to the ground. She winced in pain as I ran and kicked her further away from me. I sprinted over to help Gizmo but Dr. Lee was already prepared for me. He blasted me with a powerful beam of energy.

I struggled to hold my ground, but the beam's intensity increased to the point my feet could no longer stay planted. I crashed into a building's window and went through at least six shelves before I stopped moving. I winced in pain as I struggled to get up. As I staggered to my feet I saw a shadow dart across the room. I moved slowly as I searched around the building to find out what I had just saw.

Before I could react I felt something cut my heel causing me to fall. I winced in pain as I felt the blade cut my back and arms. I heard a silent giggle as the figure disappeared into the shadows. As far as I could tell I was sure it was a female.

I waited patiently until my wounds healed which took longer than usual. I got up and left the building returning to the fight at hand. Gizmo was being beaten badly as I noticed his face was covered in blood.  I could see the superhumans that were with Dr. Lee were causing havoc.

The person that was controlling the electrical fire was throwing bolts of fire at the task force troopers. Scarlett who was Gizmo's former girlfriend arrived. She had large featherless wings, pointed ears, and fangs. Her skin
a pale brown unlike how it use to be and her eyes were a strange orange color. Dr. Lee had his own small army of superhumans fighting the task force.

A woman with the power of telekinesis was using her ability to throw cars at the task force. There was a large man with superhuman strength and durable skin being shot at but bullets were bouncing right off him. I saw another person with the ability to fly but they had super strength and moved extremely fast.

There was another woman that turned into this purplish white dust and surrounded some of the task forces members. Whatever she turned into burned them badly. I took my attention away from the superhumans and made my way over to Dr. Lee. As I came closer I saw a task force trooper aim a cannon at him. He fired it and a ball of energy emerged from it. Dr. Lee turned and lifted his hand as the ball of energy hit him.

I saw a flash of bright light which blurred my vision briefly. As my vision was finally able to see clearly again I saw Dr. Lee with a large aura of energy surrounding him. He had absorbed the blast and used it to increase his power. Everyone stared in shock as Dr. Lee chuckled manically.

He looked down at Gizmo who stared at him with pure hate in his eyes. Dr. Lee sighed unhappily as a ball of energy began to form in his hand. Before I realized it I was moving faster than normal. I realized my body was moving so fast everything seemed to move slowly.

I grabbed Gizmo and tossed him away from Dr. Lee just before fired his attack. I turned to see the bright beam of energy which was so powerful it blasted a hole into the ground and a hole in my stomach. I gasped for air as howled in pain.

Dr. Lee stared at me confused wondering what had just happened. My vision began to become blurred but I was able to see Gizmo appear behind Dr. Lee and stab him. Sean ran over to my side asking me something but I couldn't understand. Everything was fading to blackness.

Dream

Death was everywhere. Fire was a blaze everywhere around me. Cries of pain and loss rang through my ears. There was so much destruction. The city in ruin and so many people were dead. How did this happen? What does it all mean and is this real?

Reality

My eyes opened greeted by a group of familiar faces. I sat up and realized I was back in the Bunker. Everyone was looking at me strangely as if I was some freak show. I always got that look from people but now it had real meaning to it. I slowly stood to my feet and winced in pain. My muscles still ached from whatever happened.

"Are you alright? Jade asked.

I didn't say anything as I simply rubbed my head in pain. I had no idea what to do or what happened after Dr. Lee blasted me... I looked down feeling my stomach as I saw there was a hole in my suit. I grunted in frustration for I had just got the hoodie a while back. I had to find something else to replace my costume for the mean time.

"You have to save my...dad."
I looked over at the girl that spent most of her time with Styles. Her name was Jasmine if I had remembered correctly. I glanced at her and nodded slowly.

I was planning to help the other people Dr. Lee captured as well. I just needed to figure out where his new hiding place was.  I turned on the little TV that was in the middle of the room to see if there was any news. When I turned the TV I saw Skylar Presley who was a news reporter for Darko city times and a longtime friend of my mentor.

She mentioned that were over a hundred casualties in today's attack. Now the task force were raiding houses searching for superhumans that may know Dr. Lee's possible location.

"We need to find one of those superhumans that work for him and see what they know." I said as I stared at Jack. He would possibly be the only one capable of getting to one of them. If he still had access to the Decagon then he could get information we need and get out without being detected...hopefully.
"I know where some of the superhumans that was with Dr. Lee are headed. If we go after them we can get some information."

I nodded as he began to explain to me that they were planning to raid Stoker Enterprises...for some special serum. It confused me because Michael was helping him so why would Dr. Lee need to raid their building. Jack said it would be happening tonight so I immediately went and changed. I had to end this and get on with my life. Dr. Lee had to be stopped before things got worse. When it was nightfall; Sean, Jack, and I made our way to Stoker Enterprises.

We saw tons of fights on the streets that had the task force's full attention. When we got to the building and waited outside for about thirty minutes before we noticed something was happening inside. We looked at each other with confused looks before sprinting to the building.
