We entered the building to see people running in terror as superhumans were making their way down the hall. Jack darted forward becoming a blur of motion. He appeared in front of them as the rest of us brought up the rear. Scarlett was leading the group and tried to attack Jack but he moved too fast for her.

I noticed Jason was with her the man who killed Gzimo's mother. I stepped forward and lunged at him. He tried to side step my punch but I was moving too fast for him to counter. I grabbed him and slammed him on the ground. The woman that could transform into dust floated her dusty form around me and my skin began to burn and peel. I winced in pain as I tried to wave her away but she hovered around me like bees made of dust.

I continued to feel this burning sensation as I felt my skin struggling to heal but it wasn't working fast enough right now. Jack moved his arms in a strange motion until he created a small cyclone which blew her away from me allowing my wounds to heal. The dark burning mist floated off of my wounds as they healed slowly. A

superhuman that could throw bolts of energy tried to blast me but I moved away too quickly. Another superhuman barreled her way down the hall as she formed rings of energy with her hands and threw it at Sean. He jumped onto the wall to dodge but a part of the ring burned his leg as it passed by.

He winced in pain as he fell but was able to fire and arrow that exploded and knocked her down. As time went on it seemed as if we were outnumbered. We continued to fight until we heard a loud sound from above. I looked up to see something falling from the ceiling above.

It was D.O.D who must have been on the second floor the whole time. I noticed she was holding a bag filled with tubes that contained a red liquid. She turned to Scarlett and handed her the bag. We watched as Scarlett flew away but Jack followed but placed something in my hand before passing by. I looked down to see a watch that was made by Giz-tech. Sean walked over and grabbed it as he begin tinkering with it. I realized Jack wanted us to use it as a tracking device. I turned my attention to D.O.D as I ordered the others to leave and go after Jack.

I wasn't sure how I would find them but I planned to after I dealt with her. I waited for the others to leave before I turned to D.O.D and the superhumans standing by her side. I knew this wasn't going to be easy but I didn't plan for any of them to get past me that easily. All of the superhumans charged at me prepared to attack.

I sighed as I lunged at Jason first and slammed his head against the wall. I ducked down to dodge a blast at my head and rolled forward. I jumped high into the air and kicked the woman into one of her ally's. I landed on my back causing me to groan in pain. I looked up to see a figure falling but I rolled out of the way as their palm crashed through the ground.

The room shook slightly as I tried to kick him in the skull. Once I did I was hit by D.O.D causing me to stumble back. I threw down a sonic-boom grenade causing her and everyone else to hit the walls. I watched as she quickly got up and moved swiftly. A strange light flashed before my eyes causing me to be slightly blinded for the moment. Her left hand turned into a blaster and she started firing away at me.

The blasts of energy shattered glass and blasted holes through the doors around me. The building was still being evacuated and I knew the task force had to be here by now. There's no way I can beat her head on because she seemed to always have something else up her sleeve.

I thought to myself as I tried to dodge her attack by leaping over a table and running into a corner. I realized maybe if I tried to manipulate I could slow her down. If she's not a robot then it means she possibly has feelings so what if she has feelings....for Dr. Lee? I thought as I slowly stepped out of my hiding place. She stopped and stared me with her blaster aimed straight at my chest.
"You know he doesn't care about you right? He created you to be a tool that's expendable. He says that you're his daughter but what kind of father would make his child do things like this? I've never even heard him refer to you by a real name." I said as I noticed there was a change in her eyes.

Her eyes were becoming watery but she quickly wiped it away. Did that really just work? I wondered as the woman who had the power to turn her energy attacks into rings of different sizes stepped forward.

"Don't believe anything he says.... Dr. Lee has already told us we will be rewarded once he takes over the city." She said as D.O.D turned to her.

She stared at her for a long time before Jason stumbled his way into the area we all were located. He had a large cut at the top of his temple where he was bleeding.

"I'm sorry.... But he is right D.O.D I never wanted to admit this but Dr. Lee is selfish. Yeah he looks after us but he only makes things worse and the fact that we continue to follow him doesn't help." He said as D.O.D collapsed onto the ground now motionless.

Did I really get to her that easily? She never talked which might have been because he removed her vocal cords or something. Maybe she never learned how to speak even though she was an actual life form.

"Why are you taking his side, Jason? You are a coward and you always were." The woman shouted as she threw rings of energy at Jason and me.

As I moved to avoid them I heard a strange sound and someone scream in pain. I turned my head to see D.O.D's arm aimed at her ally and a large hole was in her chest. I watched her collapse to the ground as she let out a gasp of air.

Her now lifeless body laid on the floor with her eyes wide open. D.O.D stood and turned to me and began walking. I didn't move I just watched as she came and stood in front of me. She stared at me for a long time before reaching out and grabbing my hand.
"I....sorry for what I've done." She said in a strange manner.

I assumed it was because she never knew how to socialize with people. She always was given commands as if she was a soldier or robot. It made since as to why she never really spoke about anything. I looked at the front door as they slowly burst open and the task force entered.

I sighed as I grabbed D.O.D and snuck into a hallway before they saw us. As we ran down the hall I could hear something coming around the corner causing us to stop and turn. 

Unfortunately, we were surrounded on both sides. Gizmo appeared with his hand in a cast. His goggles covered his eyes but I could see he had a black eye. He stared at D.O.D for a long time as he noticed her holding my head.

"Nowhere else to run...John." He said as he started toward me but I watched D.O.D turn her arm into a blaster and she raised her arm.

It was a pulse canon that she fired and destroyed the ceiling above. I stood shocked as I tried to figure out what her plan of escape would be. She urged me to grab a hold of her as her leg and arm propelled us upward. As we ascended she struggled to keep steady due to the fact she only had one arm and leg that seemed inhuman. 

I stared down at Gizmo who stared up at me with his hateful glare. Somehow I was always ahead of him even though he was more intelligent than me. I learned most of the things about technology from him. I knew our fate had cursed us to be nothing more than enemies.

I sighed unhappily as I looked away from and turned my attention to D.O.D. We finally made it out of the building as she slowly landed us on the roof. There was a platform for a helicopter to land. I sighed deeply as I peered over the edge to see we were surrounded. I quickly stepped back before I became anxious from my disliking of heights. 

"You're a clone of his daughter and the superhuman but what happened to your original body?" I ask her as she stared down at the task force below us. She turned toward mean sighed deeply.

"Technically a clone of his wife but it's my soul that came from his daughter's body. Once I gained my new body, another scientist took me and disfigured my arm and left leg with technologically organic materials, which changed me." D.O.D said as we began to hear the sounds of helicopters approaching.

It was clear she wasn't an Artificial intelligence but she still wasn't natural. She grabbed my hand and pulled me over the ledge. I stared at her as we fell which seemed like an eternity. Finally, I saw her alter her arm and leg allowing us to hover.

We slowly moved high above the city where I admired how much I had hardly explored here. I could see the destruction Dr. Lee caused and places where it was still peaceful. Most of the streets was infested with criminals and superhumans fighting for survival.

We were able to clear away from the view of the helicopters as we hid in the trees of the forest. As we silently landed on a branch I remembered that this part of the forest was filled with supernatural creatures. They always were on the prowl in the night. I urged her to wait until I made sure everything was good below us as I dropped down.

I landed into a roll and quickly got to my feet. I looked around for a long time and listened carefully. I could hear howls and other sounds in the distance. I looked up and signaled for her to come down. I waited until she appeared before me with her normal blank and calm stare. I took a deep breath as I stared at the trees above. I listened as they rustled slowly from the cold breeze that picked up around us.
"Help me find Dr. Lee." I said as I turned my attention to her. She was looking at the trees as well but quickly looked at me. For a long time she didn't speak until she sighed.

"He three days away from here..." She said trailing off as I stepped closer to her. She seemed so unhappy and it was clear that she felt this way for a long time. I always thought she was emotionless but maybe that was all for show.

"Okay how do we get there and where exactly is he?" I asked as she thought for a moment and finally answered.

"In a lab on Wolf Mountain.... We leave now we can stop him from his plan." She said as she grabbed my hand and started walking further into the forest. I sighed as I knew this would be a long trip ahead of us.
