We walked for hours before we ended up on a road where I was able to see a group of thugs sitting on the side of the road smoking and drinking. Why they were all this out in the open was strange to me. I watched for a longtime without doing anything until one of the men got shot.

It was out of nowhere.... Two of the men had a disagreement but it didn't seem as if it would lead to this. I sprinted across the street as my men withdrew their guns. They were shooting at each other wildly. It was dark so it wasn't any cars coming at the moment.

As I hit one of the men firing a gun I noticed something strange begin to happen. The street lights began to blow out and the car alarms went haywire. The men stopped shooting as they began looking around and I turned to see D.O.D walking slowly.

She seemed different and as if she was in a trance. The iris of her eyes went from the strange bright blue to a deep dark black color. Her hair lifted from her shoulders and the strange electrical energy around her was a darker shade of blue.

Her skin seemed to turn almost platinum and her hair looked black. I rubbed my eyes wondering if I was hallucinating but I wasn't. The thugs began firing the weapons at her as I ducked for cover. The bullets bounced the shield her arm formed. Once she got closer she smacked away a thug that tried to attack her with a knife. He flew down the road and hit the ground hard.

I stared in horror as she moved at her unnatural speed and slammed a man through a truck he was standing in front of. The others tried to get closer to her with their weapons. I sprinted toward over and tackled him to the ground. I quickly got up and threw a sonic-boom grenade causing them all to be knocked from her.

She turned to me still in her trance and moved toward me with her strange speed but I countered before she could attack. I dug in the pouch that was wrapped around my thigh and withdrew a small gray ball. I threw it at her face and smoke erupted from it. She stopped moving and began to cough hysterically.

"What happened?" She asked as she rubbed her eyes which had reverted back to normal.

I shrugged as I continued to examine her wondering what was going on. I turned my attention to one of the vehicles that was still intact. I decided it would be best to keep her off the road and away from anything like this. I got in to see if the keys were in the ignition and it was. I urged her to get in as I started the engine and got on the road.

We road in silence for hours as I noticed the sun was beginning to rise. I hadn't slept at all but I wanted to cover as much ground as possible. As we drove further away from Darko city she asked me to turn down a trail which led away from the main road. After a while we stopped at the beginning of a valley. I parked the vehicle and lowered the seat back to rest. D.O.D stared at me for a long time before she did the same thing.

Flashback

It was cold and I was following close behind him as we trudged up the mountain as we tried to get away from the village of Beastkin. This group had long white hair and eyes like wolves. Many of them had pointy ears and wore animal skin of a dead animal.

A female beastkin stared at me with a strange stare. It wasn't a look of hate but concern or worry. Why was she worried...what was she worried about? I wondered as I felt a hand grasp my shoulder. I looked up to see my mentor staring down at me with a stern look.

He urged me to follow him as we continued up the mountain. He didn't really speak to me even though today was my birthday. I had just wanted to stay home and have a pizza, but instead he brought me here to Wolf Mountain. I love the snow and it always snowed in February, but being chanced is not the best birthday present.

As I took a step to the right some of the ground gave way causing me to stumble downward. I found myself going into a roll as I went further down the hill of the mountain we were on. After a while my fall was stopped by a large stone that I hit my head on. I let out a gasp for air as my vision blurred and faded to blackness.

Present
I sat up breathing heavily as I felt my heart racing wildly. I noticed D.O.D staring at me with a confused look on her face. As my breathing slowly began to calm down I began to look around. I sighed as I scratched my head and started the engine.

We continued down the trail as I continued to think about everything that happened. I tried helping for once and all it did was get innocent people hurt. Things are getting worse and I have no idea how to stop him. I knew things would continue to become out of control even if I did stop him. I felt D.O.D's hand touch my shoulder causing me to glance at her.

"Where are you going to go after all of this?" I asked causing her to shrug her shoulders.

As continued riding through the trail I saw a village of beastkins. They weren't dangerous unless attacked and they often had to deal with Berserkers. They were large beings that constantly were in a rage frenzy and hell bent on killing.

Wolf Mountain was their safe haven from humans and everyone else. The place was also filled with wolves hence the name Wolf Mountain. The wolves here were extremely large.

"I not sure.... All he ask me to do is help him." she said as I pulled over.

We both got out as we looked up toward the Mountain. I could see a large cloud of smoke rising at the top of the Mountain. I glanced at D.O.D as she nodded slowly and began walking. Things were probably going to get out of hand. As we started up the trail I noticed the temperature slowly drop even more.

We trudged up the Mountain for hours until I saw a group of people waiting for us. It was clear it was more guard dogs to protect Dr. Lee. It didn't take long for Drex-corps guards to appear with the weapons ready to shoot on sight.

One of the women wielded a sword that she pointed at me as I noticed the air beginning to spiral toward me. I side stepped the attack but felt a freezing sensation on my shoulder. It made sense to have superhumans with cold powers guarding this place.

It was filled with cold air and it was always freezing. A man with tons of tattoos on his body blasted me with a form of cold energy that slowly caused my body to freeze. I winced in pain as I watched my hand turn to ice.

The freezing energy slowly crawled up my arm until D.O.D grabbed me. I watched as she blasted my assailant to the ground. My arm began to defrost slowly from the heat being produced from her hand. I stood to my feet and sprinted toward the largest superhuman, but he grabbed my arm and threw me.

I crashed through a mound of rocks. I grunted in pain as I hit the ground wondering why it felt like I was just hit by a bus. As I got up I was hit in the back of the neck by a woman with extremely large claws. I tried to push her away but suddenly I collapsed as my body went numb. She stood over me with her long wild mangled hair.

She smiled as she examined her hands which I noticed had a strange substance on it. I could hear the sounds of gunshots and people screaming in pain. The woman standing over me ran toward the sounds of gunshots. I watched as the woman flew over my head and crashed into something. I still was unable to move as I felt someone lift me up. It was D.O.D and she threw me over shoulder and made her way further up the hill.

"What does D.O.D stand for?" I asked as I realized I had never once knew the reason she was called that. It wasn't a normal name so it had to be initials for something.

"Destroyer of darkness." She mumbled as she continued up the hill blasting Drex-corps guards that shot at us.

Everything Dr. Lee was doing he claimed was to prepare for some form of age of darkness. Even if he was telling the truth it still didn't make up for all the crimes he's committed. After a while I was slowly starting to feel my toes and fingers again.

Unfortunately, whatever toxin was in the woman's claws seemed to have a heavy effect on me. D.O.D sat me down against a rock as I watched her fight off the guards and more superhumans coming down the trail to the lab above.

Her attacks were non-lethal but proficient. It surprised me that she was capable of such restraint. I realized she wasn't a machine but a clone of real people. Which meant she wasn't necessarily incapable of having feelings.... She just showed it less than most at times.

I also can't help but wonder how old was she? She looks like a woman in her twenties but she could have recently been created. After a while she came over and grabbed me so I figured I'd ask.

"How old are you, D.O.D?" I asked as she stopped and stared at me for a short second. She sighed as she continued up the hill for about five minutes before she answered.

"I was born a year before he turned himself into a superhuman so twenty maybe." She said as she stopped moving and threw me behind a rock. She sat down next to me as she peaked out for a second and turned to me. I was able to feel my legs but my arms were still useless.
"What's wrong?" I asked as she told me to be quiet. I could hear howling sounds and gun firing further up the hill. I assumed that the wolves were attacking the guards or whatever was shooting.

"We still have a day of walking to do. Once we get past this...you rest." She said as I finally noticed that was beginning to speak with better grammar.

She was learning at a fast right the more she talked. Maybe Dr. Lee put some form of learning processor in her brain. As we sat and waited for the battle ahead to cease a drone crashed near us. I stared it long and hard until I saw what I was looking for....Giz-tech. could the task force be here already?

How did they even know where Dr. Lee was hiding? I grunted with irritation as I was finally able to move my arms which took an hour and thirty minutes for me to be fully mobile again. I stood to my feet as D.O.D watched me sprint up the hill in the direction of the fight. I was able to see wolves everywhere and they were extremely large.

They were attacking the task force who arrived from a helicopter and the Drex-corps guards. Many of the wolves had blue eyes and two of the largest ones had a strange blue aura around them. I watched as they moved around like a blue blur attacking everyone. Gizmo's drones and other technological weapons could be seen everywhere: Pulse blaster, Plasma rifles, Stun guns and other high tech weapons.

I've stolen technology from Giz-tech countless times so I knew my way around his software that Gizmo had installed in almost every piece of tech his business produces. As I stood pondering about the technology I used to steal, I heard something beside me and I turned to see Gizmo.

He grinned as he fired his gun that was on his gauntlet. The blast hit me hard on the chest knocking me off of my feet. I stumbled down the hill into more stones. He appeared in front of me again and began his assault.

"This has nothing to do with you Jon but I'm glad you're here....so I can kick...your...ass!" He grunted as he continued to punch me wildly.

His punches were making me angrier every second. Finally, I was able to grab one of his hands and counter. He stumbled back as I ran toward him with another punch. He laughed as he spat out blood. I rammed my fist into his ribs causing him to gasp for air.

He teleported and smacked my in the back of the head. He hit me again punching my ribs even harder causing them to crack. I winced in pain as he slammed me into the stone again. He was taught multiple fighting styles just like me but I never could excel at most of them.

He continued his attacks as I tried to move away but he began teleporting around me. The fact that he could now teleport made his fighting even more of a force to deal with. I grunted in pain as he slammed me on the ground and began pummeling me with his fists that had gauntlets covering them.

He hit me harder and harder and then he grabbed my arm but I countered by breaking free. I pulled him to the ground and wrapped my arms around his legs. He grunted in pain as I pulled his arm back until it was stretched out completely. When it came to fighting on the ground and grappling I was better than him.

He winced in pain as I got kicked in the head by Agent Raven. I rolled to my feet and stared at her angrily. She sneered as she helped Gizmo up while he stared at me holding his arm. Ava and Agent Hex appeared as D.O.D came and stood next to me.

"Look we don't have time for this right now. We need to put our differences aside to go and get Dr. Lee. This may be the only chance you will ever get this close to him again."

No one said anything for a long time. D.O.D grabbed my hand and pulled me forward but Gizmo stepped in front of her. She stared at him with the most menacing look I'd ever seen. The expression on her face gave off a kill anyone that gets in my way vibe. I could see his jaw tightening as he stared at her long and hard.

His eyes were covered so I couldn't see the look in his eyes, but I knew he was nervous. Raven grabbed him and pulled aside so D.O.D and I could continue walking. I glanced at Ava and nodded slowly causing her to slightly smile. She looked away so no one would notice. I sighed as I continued my journey to the top of the mountain with D.O.D.

"I want a real name...I tired of being called something that makes me sound like a machine." D.O.D said as she glanced at me slowly. I began thinking of a name that would suit her and then I decided on one.
"How about Dyna?" I asked as D.O.D stopped and stared at me for a long time before she nodded approvingly. I sighed as she stopped outside of a cave that was across from us. She glanced at me causing me to shake my head but she walked over to it.

"Don't worry besides the giant snakes and other creatures in there it's a quicker way to the trail that leads to the lab." She said as she disappeared into the darkness.

I groaned with annoyance as I ran after her. I stumbled around in the dark for a while as I struggled to get the light on my battle glove to work. Strangely, I was actually able to see in the dark or know what was around me. D.O.D who I now assume I'd have to refer to as Dyna walked ahead of me. She turned to see if I was following urging me to hurry as I noticed an extremely large snake slither past me.

As we continued through the cave I could hear these strange sounds up ahead. I sped up my pace to get beside Dyna and then I heard them. The Berserkers approached us moving extremely fast for their large size. The female attacked first snarling as she hit me. I rolled to my feet and sprinted toward her.
