This is Gatho's first published story, serving as a prototype for a larger saga. In "Just Another Day of Work," Gaius and Umbral, two adventurous mercenaries, are hired to escort Noel, a mysterious client, to the Gatho abyss. What seems like a simple journey at first glance soon becomes a challenge when Noel refuses to tell the duo the reasons for the excursion.
