I felt comfortable in an uncomfortable situation.

Your calm demeanor assured me I could just be, 

And though those around us chattered away, there we sat sharing in each other's silence.

Then, when we met again, I saw you amongst the crowd and sat there beside you,

the one familiar face.

You were my shelter in a foreign land, and a friend who broke through my shell.

You made me want to believe I could trust again, connect again.

Because of you I gained the confidence to try again

And it all started with that stupid Lego movie.
