“How do I do that?” Bayley asked, she was barely in her chair from how much she was leaning towards the beta.
“I wouldn't know,” Alex shrugged, “I haven't been here long enough to help you with that. All I could really do is teach you how to act around an omega but you’d have to go to Beta Oliver for the more personal stuff.”
“Okay, yeah I can definitely do that,” Bayley smiled, almost leaping out of her chair before she stopped herself.
Alex chuckled, “Okay, well to start you never run up on an omega without warning at least not until you know them. You always treat them with respect, obviously,” Alex tipped her head, “And never ever puppy them.”
“Puppy them?” Bayley frowned.
“It's like babying,” Alex shrugged, “it tends to happen to omegas because of how small they are. And how much weaker they are compared to other wolves.”
Bayley nodded, “Okay, no puppying. Anything else?”
Alex smiled, “Always treat her as your equal. She is not your property, she is a gift. A gift you are lucky enough to have the honor of knowing, let alone witnessing,” Alex leaned forward, her words starting to feel more like a threat than advice.
“Yes, ma’am- Beta,” Bayley corrected, she hadn’t felt this nervous since she took Lindsey Benson to the spring dance, her father had given her a similar speech while they waited for Lindsey to finish getting ready. Only Beta Alex can rip me into proper shreds.
“Good,” Alex nodded, her smile returning, as she stood holding her hand out to the chief.
“Thank you, Beta,” Bayley smiled, jumping to her feet and quickly taking the Beta’s hand.
“Alex. Just Alex.”
“Right, Alex….thank you.”

“Excuse me?” Beta Oliver nearly growled, turning away from the fence he was mending. Maybe she should have started this off with something other than, “I need to know everything about Omega Meredith.” Kind of comes off as hostile and…creepy.
“I’m sorry,” Bayley smiled weakly, clearing her throat, “Omega Meredith and I got off on the wrong foot. I want to change that…Beta Alex told me I should come to you for info on how to gain Omega Meredith's favor.”
Ollie nodded, “Okay…does she know you're here?”
“Beta Alex?” Bayley frowned.
“Meredith.” Bayley cringed, Oliver’s shoulders tensed again as he stood to his full height. “Does she even know you?”
“Uh…well we went to high school together.”
Oliver frowned, “That’s it? You weren't friends- wait,” Oliver stepped back from the force the memory hit him, “Your Bayley Abbers!” he laughed.
“Yeah?” Bayley frowned.
“Sorry, sorry. It's just she had a major cru- ahm…never mind,” he waved off, “Why don't you ask her yourself?” he smiles, turning back to the fence.
“Oh, I scared her yesterday- by accident!”
“Right,” Oliver nodded, signaling for her to continue.
“I want to make it up to her to clear things up- for the relationship between the humans and werewolves.”
“Riiight,” Oliver smiled, “Well, if you really want to get on her good side you should just go and talk to her.”
Bayley sighed, “I was hoping you wouldn't say that,”
