Same night at Bagrovsky estate.
The room was quiet except for the hiss of Mr Bagrovskiy's lighter. Haruto studied him–each exhale a silent threat that made the room feel smaller and tighter.
"What are you going to do to Nate?" frowning and feeling worried.
Mr Bagrovskiy looked at him as if he were pulling him closer. "Are you more worried about Nate than yourself? Why? What's going on with you and Nate?" he asked with annoyance.
“What?” What is he thinking? What is his problem? he said to himself. “I'm asking because you said Gabriel already knows what he's going to do, so that means you're going to kill Nate, right?”
Mr Bagrovskiy stopped smoking his cigar and chuckled. "What the hell are you thinking?”
“What?!” He said with a question on his face.
“Isn't that what you order your goon to deal with someone!?
Goon… he said in his mind.
“It's not his fault! I took the time to ensure I had a good setup. Tomorrow at lunch... I'll hand you everything about San Diego.” Why does he need to kill his comrade? He gritted his teeth, thinking.
"I'm not sure where you got that idea, but you misunderstood me. I said they knew how to set up everything for what you need. I didn't say a word about killing him."
Haruto looked at him seriously, and he made a sharp “tsk” sound. At the same time, he felt relieved.
He grinned and shrugged, which annoyed Haruto even more. Haruto left him in the dark room and slammed the door, which made him chuckle.
“It's fun to tease him.”
As night deepened, the darkness and chill in the room felt different—it's warmer and lighter than before.

Morning Later
The sunlight was slowly entering the house through the large window. The air was fresh, and papers were scattered across the floor, as if a storm had passed last night.
Mr Bagrovskiy entered the room and noticed Haruto, face down and asleep on the table, as if he had been knocked over by exhaustion. He approached, slightly parted Haruto’s hair, and looked around to observe the situation.
“What are you doing here…” Haruto asked softly but with irritation, as he held Mr Bagrovskiy’s wrist, startling him.
“Why are you sleeping here? It’s uncomfortable. You have a bed.”
“It’s bothersome... I have to do my work. I just took a little nap,” Haruto replied, yawning as he walked to the sofa.
“I wish you had told me, then I could have helped you.”
Mr Bagrovskiy followed while speaking, but Haruto suddenly stopped and handed him a thick folder.
“Here.”
“What’s that?” he asked, but stopped when he saw Haruto’s eyes—red, swollen, and clearly sleep-deprived.
“Check it. That’s the info about San Diego,” Haruto replied before walking over to the bed and sitting down.
“Already?!” Mr Bagrovskiy raised his eyebrow.
He looked at him. “I said after lunch, but you rushed me because you seemed to be in a hurry. That's why I didn't get any sleep.”
Haruto lay down after speaking.
I did? He said in his mind. “Is that all?” Mr Bagrovskiy asked, but he had a feeling something was wrong. Just overnight? Can he really do this? He kept the thought to himself.
“SÌ. If it’s not enough for you, ask me. You should check them…” Haruto’s voice was low, obviously tired.
Mr Bagrovskiy sat down on the side of the bed, which seemed like a big mortal sin to Haruto.
“What are you doing here?” Haruto asked quickly, with a hint of annoyance.
“Checking the document?” Mr Bagrovskiy replied. He leaned back against the pillow, grinning.
“I mean, yes, but why on my bed? You can do it on the sofa.”
“Because it’s comfortable here. Why are you flustered?” He turned to his right side.
“What?” whispered to himself.
“Are you thinking about something else?” Mr Bagrovskiy asked again, his smile even wider.
“What are you talking about? You can check the document on the sofa! Why here?!”
“I think I can check the document later… let’s do what you’re thinking.” He laughed softly.
“You fucking asshole! Get out of here! Can’t I sleep peacefully?!” Haruto shouted, pulling the blanket over his head.
Mr Bagrovskiy was about to reach for the blanket, but he stopped in the middle when he remembered his swollen eyes. He took a deep breath and walked out with the documents.
Haruto wait for Mr Bagrovskiy to leave. When the door finally closed, he exhaled deeply.
It's a good thing the pervert left. I don't know where I'm going to put this micro flash drive...I must hide this before others see it. But I'm sleepy, I'll hide it later.
He closed his eyes and finally lay down.
*****
While walking down the hallway, holding the documents, he called Gabriel.
"Check this document. It needs this tomorrow afternoon.”
"Roger, Mr Bagrovskiy," Gabriel replied while he fucking someone in the bathroom.
“Ugh…slow down.. Fvck….moree.. Arghh…”
Mr Bagrovsiky ended the call. “This is fucker.” He said, pissed off.
