She couldn't really focus on that while his hand wandered from her ear down to trace the curvature of her side.
"I-I don't understand. You were... the man in the dream? But, how did that help you?" she asked, trying to redirect his attention.
"Hmm, how can I explain this? Let's say... when humans experience certain emotions, it increases different types of energy in their bodies. Many yokai can consume this energy, to heal, to satisfy hunger, and to grow stronger. The kind of energy I needed to heal can be generated by sexual arousal, and even more so from sexual release. We unfortunately didn't get that far in the dream... but in truth, dreams don't transfer as much energy as... direct contact," he explained, giving Freya a look that sent a shiver down her spine and made the muscles below her stomach clench.
"Why... do you need... that?" she whispered, unaware that she had softened in his arms, no longer pushing him back.
The fox man licked his lips and put his free hand on Freya's buttocks and jerked her lower body against his, allowing her to feel the hard length of his erection against her. She gasped, startled.
"The man in your dreams was not a fox," he reminded her. "I cannot take human form without more of your energy. I am still too weak. My wound is also still not fully healed, it is just no longer a danger to my life. But I cannot protect myself in this state. I wouldn't have been able to defeat the Bear King had he been paying attention to his enemy." He leaned forward and blew hot air in Freya's ear, before sticking his tongue in his ear.
Freya gasped, weakening in his grasp further. She was beginning to feel hot, and breathless. Why was he able to affect her like this? He was a vaesen! A monster! How could he be so... alluring?
"If you allow me to bed you, I will be fully healed, my strength restored. In exchange, you will experience more pleasure than you could possibly imagine," he growled low in her ear, nipping the side of her throat and grinding against her.
Freya felt a bit dizzy and overwhelmed, and very aroused. Memories of the dream from the previous night flooded into her. She had a pretty good idea of the kind of pleasure she could expect.
"I-if... If I agree... will you leave this area for good?" she asked.
The fox man hesitated, pulling back from her a little. There was something in his gaze that Freya would almost swear was disappointment or sadness, but how could such a creature feel such emotions?
"If that is what you wish, yes."
"And you won't hurt any humans in the area now or in the future?"
The fox man pulled a wry face.
"What do you take me for? I'm a zenko, I wouldn't hurt a human without cause."
"I don't know what that means," Freya said in a flat voice. The fox man sighed.
