"I won't hurt any humans unless in defense of myself or the helpless. I am an honorable samurai and a zenko. I am not a monster like some of the local shapeshifters I've met."

"Then... I agree. B-but not on the ground!" Freya said, partially covering her face with one hand.

"Wouldn't dream of it!" the fox man replied, wrapping his robe around the two of them. They vanished in a puff of smoke and reappeared floating above the homestead. Freya gasped and clung tightly to the fox man, terrified of falling. He chuckled and nuzzled the crook of her neck.
"Something blocked me from taking you directly to your bedroom," he said calmly.

"No shit!" Freya squealed. "I have a barrier around my home to keep out vaesen! I can't do anything about that from up here!"

"I see!" The fox man swept his robe around them again and the next thing Freya knew, they were on the ground just outside the barrier. She collapsed to her hands and knees, feeling dizzy and sick. It passed quickly, and the fox man helped her to her feet and she brushed the dirt off her gloves and knees. She picked up the nearest crystal and gestured for him to enter. He tentatively stepped over the line. As soon as he was inside, Freya put the crystal back and walked over the line herself.

"Hm, I suppose I am trapped in here with you now," he said.

"No, the barrier is one-way. Nothing can get in, but anything that is in can leave," Freya clarified. She looked at the fox man, brow furrowed. "I didn't get your name?"

"That is correct."

Freya scowled at him.

"Names have power, little human. It would be best if we didn't trade them," he said solemnly, striding towards the house.

Freya hesitated, glancing out towards the wilderness, feeling a twinge of guilt at not having met up with Nantan, and also for... what she had just agreed to. She rubbed her elbow and bit her lip. It was already past dark, so Nantan would either be looking for her or heading back here to see if she'd come home without him.
Freya turned and trotted after the fox man, and locked the front and back doors when they got in the house. She didn't want Nantan to walk in on what was about to happen.

Before she had a chance to say anything, the fox man swept her into his arms and flourished his cloak around them. Freya felt dizzy again because they had completely changed orientation. She was laying on her bed upstairs, the fox man crouching above her, a hungry look in his eyes. She gulped, suddenly wondering if she'd made a grave mistake. She flinched as his face descended on her throat.
He nuzzled and nipped at her throat, his hands moving down her front, undoing the buttons of her shirt with ease. He let out a hot, heavy breath against her ear.
"Do you value these clothes?" he whispered.
