Ruth was alone. She'd certainly been lonely before, but now, even surrounded by countless other faces her age, she was more isolated than ever. With the questionable little church in the woods that her parents so desperately indulged, people vanishing from the streets nightly, and the pair of shining eyes stalking her every time the sun dared to hide its face, something was deeply wrong with this place.
As the Father slipped further into his visions of the Savior, the blood from the stigmata in his palms became the red staining everyone's hands. The off-putting aura of the small town shifted with the sudden "disappearance" of a classmate, and Ruth had to face the truth: no one could be trusted.
Especially not the church.
