The moonlight filtered through the windows. Mr Bagrovskiy sat on the couch in his private study, a whiskey glass in one hand, a sealed envelope in the other.
Inside were files Gabriel had dug up–on Haruto. His past missions, his clearance level, his history of going dark. He knew who he was now. And still, he hadn’t killed him. Fate will decide what will happen to Haruto.
He entered without knocking. He saw the document he was holding, and he was no longer surprised.
I knew this day would come... I didn't expect it to be this soon. Well, whatever happens now is in Gin's hands. He thought of himself.
“You read it?” he asked.
“Yeah.”
He didn’t look up, but he felt like eyes were watching him. The rooms feel like hell– There's no explaining the strange blend of cold and heat swirling through the room. You don't know if you'll get out alive or dead.
If this is my last day, so be it. I've been waiting for the one who'd finally come to kill me. He said in his mind.
“You want me gone?” he gazed at him intently.
He finally looked at him. “Your name is Sato Haru, not Haruto Alvarado…”
“Yeah...”
‘’Speak’’, fixing his gaze on him.
You can feel the intense anger from him—an anger you wouldn't see. Haru wouldn't be surprised by his reaction anymore. From the beginning, Haruto's actions had been suspicious, his close approach, as if he was just being sent to study their organization. And now, in front of him, it was clear that his suspicions were correct.
“Speak what? Everything I’ll say is the same as what’s written in the document you see.”
Mr Bagrovskiy couldn't help but stare as his eyes locked on Haruto. In an instant, he pulled out his gun and pointed it at Haruto. He didn’t even flinch, but he felt the sweat on his palm. He had no weapon, no defense. And he already accepted that he could die now.
"Kneel!" Mr Bagrovskiy ordered, cold and firm. Haruto remained standing and searched for timing in every move. Mr Bagrovsky noticed Haruto looking out the window.
“You can’t escape,” Mr Bagrovskiy whispered, startling Haruto.
He looked at Haruto and asked, “Are you happy that you played with me?”
Haruto sighs before he answers. “It’s hard to play in a dragon’s den, especially when your target is the dragon…” There was a moment of silence. The two of them looked at each other, as if time had stopped.
“It’s my job, anyway…” he added.
“You played my feelings well…”
Haruto stopped, the two of them looked at each other, and he frowned and sighed. “Mr Bagrovskiy, feelings are different from work… have you forgotten. You’re the one who is a professional in this kind of game… All you have to do is kill me,” he said. “I’m sick of following the government’s orders anyway… Kill me now, Mr Bagrovskiy,” and he smirked.
Mr Bagrovskiy's temper flared even more. He shot Haruto in the leg. Haruto fell to his knees, but he couldn't stop chuckling softly.
“Heh… there it is—the real you.”
“Yeahh… this is what I've been waiting for,” he laughed softly.
This psycho, he said in his mind. Mr Bagrovskiy came closer and roughly grabbed Haruto's face, staring at him for a long time.
He’s chuckling while he speaks, “What are you waiting for… Oh, one more thing… tell Nate he did well, he worked really hard to find out everything... I thought he was the one who was gonna kill me… that’s too bad, he seems rougher than you. It would be better if you could feel the pain, right? Oh man, I…
Haruto got stopped when Mr Bagrovskiy put the gun to his mouth. He looked at Mr Bagrovskiy. The room was filled with unusual anger.
Rougher? A question in his mind. “It's such a waste to kill you without tasting you first,” Mr Bagrovskiy said deeply.
“What?” Haruto asked in shock. The question burst into his mind. This fucking pervert, is he for real!?
Mr Bagrovski stepped on the wound on Haruto's leg, and he grunted softly. “Argh…” this fucker, he said in his mind.
“Let me fuck you first,” he said, suddenly grabbed and carried Haruto on his shoulders, and this made him shocked.
“Fuck, what? I would rather die than let you fuck me!” Haruto shouted.
As they walked towards the bed, they heard a loud explosion. Mr Bagrovskiy stopped and looked at the window.
Haruto grinning.
“Fuck, just right in time,” Haruto whispered and took the gun from Mr Bagrovskiy’s waist. He shot Mr Bagrovskiy’s leg, which caused him to kneel in the sudden blast. Haruto ran behind the sofa and hid behind the pillar near the window.
“Fuck… Gin, I thought you wouldn’t come,” Haruto whispered.
Through the window, Haruto saw Gin’s helicopter. Gin was about to shoot Mr Bagrovskiy, but Haruto ran and saved him. Inside the room, there’s thick smoke from gunshots. Mr Bagrovskiy was surprised by what he did. Haruto immediately ran to the window to board the helicopter.
“Haru, hop in!” Gin ordered.
Haruto sighed. “What a pain,” he said, then fixed his eyes on Mr Bagrovskiy. He fired a gun, but he shot the wall cause he couldn’t see them because of the smoke.
“Fuck me when I’m already dead, Mr Bagrovskiy,” he said goodbye with a grinning face.
Suddenly, Mr Bagrovskiy’s men arrived and checked if he was okay. Nate saw Haruto and Gin.
Gin smiled at Nate while he whispered into the air. “Let’s have fun next time, GrumpyKitty.”
“This fuckers!!” Nate shouted and pointed the gun at them, but was stopped when Mr Bagrovskiy ordered them to “Stop…”
Everyone stopped moving, and Mr Bagrovkiy’s face showed anger and shock.
