Rocky is a German Shepherd. Every late morning, long after breakfast, it often spent some time resting indoors. One morning, it rested next to the mansion’s back sliding door, with its back placed against the wall. Being a pet of the Michios felt like a simple life, with not a care in the world.
But suddenly, rest was interrupted with the urge to scratch. A few rounds with a hind leg would suffice. On top of it, why not some bites and licks, too? A dog cares to look its best after all.
It was a day off from school, so Rocky had company. Itsumi made her way through the corridor, and headed to the living room. The house pet gracefully walked towards its human to give some salutations, bowing as if it was doing yoga. Itsumi gave it a quick petting on its head, with a lick or two on the hand in exchange. The two walked into the living room together, with Rocky leading the charge.
Later that afternoon, Rocky was offered a bowl of dog food for lunch. It wasted no time licking the bowl clean, leaving the house pet free to play in the backyard. It gladly made its way outside as Itsumi slid the sliding door wide open. It happily ran around, even stopped to roll over grass, while its human practiced on her bomb-throws. Granted, it couldn’t care less that its playtime meant being covered in grass seeds, or adding brushing duty to Itsumi’s already busy schedule... again.
“What am I going to do with you?” Itsumi might have thought to herself, as Rocky looked up to her with a happy face.
With no fail, as it always did, Rocky waited by the entrance to welcome Hiroshi Michio from work. It happily danced around the steel factory owner, and led the way through the corridor.
Although dogs don’t speak like humans do, Rocky could understand what the Michios had in mind for it, depending on what they were planning. It may spend the night at the living room with the Michios, or be alerted to the sight of a Michio carrying its battle suit, running toward to wear it. Although not a weapon wielder, Rocky had been quite helpful as a muscle of the Neon Ninjas. It could sniff out criminals to be apprehended or, neat be, pin them down with its teeth. Either way, Rocky got to have a good night’s sleep outside the Michio mansion. With some late night activities, and barking, in between sleep, of course.
And that’s Rocky: a German Shepherd, a house pet, a man’s best friend, and a Neon Ninja. That’s a good boy!
