Tall buildings towered over them like silent giants. Giant statues watched from afar, and busy markets filled the air with noise and life. But as darkness crept in, the streets began to empty. One by one, people disappeared into their homes.

That’s when Doggy suddenly stopped walking.

Not far ahead, two masked men were approaching.

Doggy leaned closer and whispered urgently,

“Zynex… I don’t like this.”

Before Zynex could respond, one of the men shouted,

            “Hey, young men!”

         The taller one waved.

          “Come here.”

Zynex and Doggy didn’t wait to ask questions. They instantly turned around and ran  faster than their legs 🦵 had ever moved in their entire lives.

After several exhausting minutes, they skidded to a stop.

A dead end.

The two masked men slowly stepped closer.

“Now you see 👀,” one of them said calmly.

“Fly 🪰 if you can. Let’s see.”

Doggy began shivering uncontrollably, his eyes locked in place like a broken statue. Zynex swallowed hard, then forced himself to sound brave.

“Let’s fight back 💪😤,” Zynex said.

“We’re two, and they’re --- "

Before he could finish his sentence, Doggy collapsed flat on the ground.

Out cold.

Zynex stared down at him.

“…Never mind,” he muttered.
