Ouch... the original Tamamo-no-Mae was sealed by a human onmyouji or sometimes even be Abe no Seimei (a half human-half kitsune man) due to her wicked deeds yet finally, her soul found peace and the stone is just a tourist spot nowadays... one that actually cracked and resparked these tales that Tamamo is free again to bring ruin to Japan but a ceremony to appease her spirit was done as well with... well hard to say if mist is a good or bad omen.
Nevertheless, here thats an fox that must get a few arrows by humans to learn her lesson not by a fellow fox woman. At least thats my opinion.
