It was such a bright but windy day for the Snowbuddies to work, play and stroll around Snowyland. Their home is cold and full of snow, but the Snowbuddies are happy, safe and humble with the place. But all of that changed when they discovered that they're not the only ones around.

It happened when Snowkin was playing ball toss with Huck, Shivs and Kira. “Alright! Go long!” She shouts as she throws the ball up in the sky, and it falls on Shivs's hands, he raises it to see who he'll aim it at, and shouts “Get ready everyone!”.

Everyone backed away, and he threw the ball very far, well.. too far! “Oops.” He said. Snowkin and the rest were running farther away, as they jumped but fell on the snow.

Huck was able to grab the ball. “Got it!”, and Snowkin and Kira laughed and Huck got up to retrieve the ball. Shivs ran to them and awkwardly said “Sorry, about that.”, Huck assured him “It's fine, as long as we didn't lose the ball.”, He let out a sigh of relief, “okay, Maybe I won't throw it too far this time.” He said. Everyone got back to their places and continued their game of ball toss.

They've been having so much fun until they decided to take a break. “Phew, that was great.” Said Kira as she wipes out sweat on her forehead. Wait, do Snowbuddies sweat at all? Snowkin brought out some bottled water to share, saying “Luckily, I came prepared!” and they all began to drink when Snowkin pours it on each cup.

As they're about to continue their game, the wind became very strong, and it caused the ball to roll away. Snowkin shouted “Oh no! The ball!”, and everbuddy started to chase it out of panic. They chased it down the hill and outside of Snowyland, until they stopped chasing it when they saw the grown filled with patches of grass instead of snow. The grass would lead them to a mystical forest.

The ball rolled away to a place no other Snowbuddy has gone through. “Uh oh…” said Snowkin, “You think anybuddy has ever told us about this?”. Shivs replied “Whatever this could be, we still need to retrieve the ball, we can't leave without it.” As Shivs was about to step on the grass, someone shouted “Wait!”. Snowkin recognized that voice and said “Hoodie?”.

And it was Hoodie, he was shocked when he saw the Snowbuddies discovering the other side of Snowyland. “Let me follow you there, this place is sacred...” He said, Kira shrugged and said “Well, what do you know about this place then? We're just here to get our ball and not disturb whoever is in that forest over there.”

Snowkin asked Hoodie “What's wrong with the other side? What happened.”, and he explained “I've been in this place before, the forest down there will lead you to Flowerland, where all the Flowerfellas live.”

“You might feel lost when you walk inside, so let me guide you while you go to Flowerland.” He finished. Snowkin, not wanting to leave the ball behind, pleaded “Well, in that case. Can you come with us to get our ball back, please?”. Hoodie was hesitant, but took a deep breath.

“Alright, just follow me and stick together. We don't want to lose each other.” Everyone agreed and followed behind him with caution. The grass below them felt so different, so mysterious. Makes them wonder what kind of place they are about to enter.

As they reached the forest, Hoodie cautiously said “Stay close. ” And they followed. As they walked forward, they saw curtains of wisteria, “Maybe this is where the ball went?” said Huck. So, they went to check what's behind the curtains of wisteria. 

And they discovered an entirely new place, a village full of Flowerfellas. They are made of wood, clothes decorated with leaves, a big flower on their heads, and wings of a fairy's. Snowkin notices that they found the ball, and they were playing with it. 

“Hey!” Shouted Snowkin, “That's our ball!” So she rushed down to retrieve the ball back, but these flower people fled with the ball in hand, as Snowkin jumped to get it, only to fall flat. “Oww…” She murmured. The other Snowbuddies went to her aid, “Snowkin! Are you alright?” cried Huck. 

Snowkin gets up and says “Don’t worry, I'm okay.” As she wipes off the dirt on her clothes. One of the flowers approached them. “Hoodie? You didn't tell us you were bringing friends along!” This Flowerfella is named Florian. He met Hoodie when he was travelling outside of Snowyland.

Kira is getting confused and asks “Uhh.. Since when do you guys know each other?”, Snowkin replied “Hoodie is a long traveller, so maybe that's why he doesn't come to Snowyland that often.” Florian asked Hoodie “So, what brings you here?”.

“I'm here to retrieve my friend's ball. Can you give it back, please?”, as the Flowerfella holding the ball looked at him and back to the ball, she replied “Well, if you want to get your ball back, how about we play a game first!”

“A game?!” said Snowkin. The Flowerfellas told them to follow, where they'll be heading to the Blossoming Soccer Field. This is where Flowerfellas group together and compete in a game of soccer, it's a Flowerland tradition. The Snowbuddies could not believe how big the field was. Shivs gets excited, saying “Wow! We’re going to play there?”

Florian replied “Yes! This is where we will play Soccer, I guess we just want to borrow your ball for that. This is our way of bonding with other Flowerfellas.” Huck was interested in their way of socializing newcomers. “That's impressive, because back in Snowyland, we usually get to know other Snowbuddies in different but simple ways.” He said.

As they make it down to the field, Florian is grouped with four other Flowerfellas. “Since, you Snowbuddies are a group of five. I have four of my friends to be part of my team, but we all must play fair and square.” He instructed them.

Hoodie nodded since he played Soccer with them before “As usual, let's start!”. As the Snowbuddies and the Flowerfellas stand on their grounds, focused and serious. They all glare daggers at each other with dead silence. And when the sound of the whistle, they start running. 

This was challenging for the Snowbuddies, as they have never played Soccer against those who are more experienced. So they have to do this, not try. Snowkin kicked the ball upwards above the opponents blocking her path, only for one to head it hard and far. Shivs tried catching the ball as a goalie, but it was too fast.

It was one point for the Flowerfellas, zero for Snowbuddies. 

The next game is where they get a bit competitive. Huck has an advantage because he's very agile for a Snowbuddy, dodging every opposing player and even kicking the ball high to trick his opponents into thinking he'll kick it high, but he also kicks the ball low into the ground. Snowkin, Hoodie and Kira cheered him on as they played.

Huck hoped this would even the score, but as he reached the goal, Florian made a kick right when it's about to hit the goal. As the ball began to roll on the field, everyone started running. Florian is leading and strikes the ball into the goal.

It's two points for Flowerfellas, still zero for Snowbuddies. 

During their warm-up, both teams are organizing plans on how to score the next point, the winning team must score five. Hoodie gives them some advice and some uplifting words if his team are feeling doubtful. 

The next game begins, when Florian aims for the goal. Shivs successfully reflects, and the ball is now led by Kira. The crowd cheers and Kira was able to kick the ball right into the goal! 

Finally score one for the Snowbuddies! They now see some improvement. 

As they kept playing, the Flowerfellas are close to point five, but so did the Snowbuddies. After many games. They are in a tie of four points. Who'll be getting the last point? They look at each other with competitive glance, waiting for the whistle to be blown. 

And when the whistle finally blows, they all charged! Aiming for the ball! This is where the game gets incredibly intense, the Snowbuddies lead, and the Flowerfellas targeting the ball, so much kicking and goalies defending the goal, it almost felt like hours. 

As Snowkin is leading the ball to the goal, she kicks the ball to the goal, but Florian prevents it from reaching the net, now it's a standoff against Snowkin and Florian. The adrenaline starts running through their bodies, both teams started to get worried, as if Snowkin and Florian forgot that they're just playing a game. It's not for fun nor socialize at this point, it's a full on competition. 

Florian tried running with the ball, faster than Snowkin so that she couldn't catch up. Snowkin was too late to stop him, as he kicked the ball right through the goal, but it didn't! He hit the ball, and it deflected by the bar of the net, causing it to fly very high, “No!” shouted Florian, Snowkin chased for the ball too. They're side by side trying to push each other off.

This was Hoodie's queue, he sprinted in the speed of light. The two were shocked by that. He jumped high which is odd for a tall Snowbuddy like him, and he made a powerful kick that can pummel the ball into the earth! The goalie was ready to catch the ball, but of course he misses it.

As the ball hits collides with the net, it caused a smokescreen after impact. The goalie ran for air and everyone looked at shocked. When the smoke clears, they saw an insane sight. The ball has broken through the net, and hit a wall surrounded by icy shards that were never there before.

Everyone was silent, as the ball fell from its impact undamaged. Hoodie felt embarrassed, thought he created a scene. The crowd were silent, but the referee decided that the final score goes to…

The Snowbuddies! Everyone started to cheer of excitement when the Snowbuddies won the soccer game. Huck shouted “We did it! Snowkin we did it!”, and he went to hug Snowkin of joy, and she hugged back laughing.

The Flowerfellas were upset “I can't believe we lost!” “I know!”, Florian went to them and said “But guys, we did a great game today. I guess this is what happens when Hoodie is not competing alone.”, because he believed that Hoodie is much stronger when he's with other Snowbuddies.

Snowkin approaches Florian and tells him “Florian, I'm really sorry for getting too competitive. I really just want my ball back, so we could go back to Snowyland.” Florian replied “No, Snowkin. I'm sorry that I made you and your friends feel like we are forcing you to play games with us, I thought it'll be a nice way to show that we are social. But I guess we forgot about understanding our differences and growing friendships.” he felt ashamed and disappointed in himself thinking he must have made a bad move.

“Well, it's not too late to start a friendship with us, you can always start now.” She assures to Florian. “You think so?” he asked, and she nodded with a smile. He smiled back and stood up, “Thank you” He said.

Hoodie analyzes the ice shards on the wall, concerned about what he just did. It reminds him of something, but has to forget. As he looked at Florian and Snowkin, he asked “Can you at least show me what Snowyland is like? Are the Snowbuddies living there nice?”

“Of course!” Said Snowkin, “I'm sure they'll welcome you as long as you are true and kind.” She finished and held onto her ball. They all bring Florian and his Flowerfellas to Snowyland where the Snowbuddies are calm and polite compared to the Flowerfellas’ athletic and hardworking environment. 

“This is the spot where the ball has led us to Flowerland. We can play Volleyball here if you want. Promise that you'll play fair?” said Snowkin. Florian chuckled, “Sure do!”

And so the Snowbuddies and Flowerfellas play together, fair and square. There was no competition, just nice and good fun, and they were all happy.
