P20: I decided to only show Luce’s entire face once he dropped his airhead facade. He was originally going to be an actual airhead - after I rewrote him, I switched some of the dialogue and gave him the blunt / harsh lines lol.
& Yup he’s this same bishie I drew during Artober ;D.
P21: Time for flashback inside of the flashback ;D.
Naturally, being powerful and renowned comes with its own set of problems. Unlike Kana, Luce knows the consequences of having power.
The edict is pretty straightforward - if you’re talented enough to be a threat to the Royal Family, either you pledge loyalty to them, or you spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder. Pledging loyalty doesn’t guarantee that you and your loved ones will be safe, but it’s at least better than the alternatives.
P22: Finally, a romance scene xD.
Luce x Aisling is canon. This isn’t the kind of story where nobody has any romantic experience and one person spends half the story trying to confess to their totally oblivious love interest.
P23: It’s obviously exaggerated for fiction, but Luce having to lie about and hide major aspects of his identity is something I relate to very well.
It’s not just for safety reasons. He’s afraid that his friends will reject him. Now that the peace has been shattered, he doesn’t have a reason to keep wearing the mask.
Out of Memory follows Zhen Xinyi (真 心意), a pacifistic warrior with reality-warping powers. As an Imperial Prince of the highly-respected Kurosawa Royal family, Xinyi, who is publicly known as Kurosawa Makoto (黒澤 誠), must balance his duties to the Realm of Os and his perilous quest to find the truth about his family.
His acquaintances, whom both aid and hinder his search, include Aisling, a reforming thief who aspires to become a Collector, Yao, a mysterious prince from a rival Royal Family, and Gyoku, an influential politician who suspects him of ill intent.
