Well, when I was 25 I finished college, moved from the city I grew up in across the country to a place where a knew no one and took a job. There I made friends, found a partner, and a life. Then after 20 years we decided to quit our jobs, sell most of our stuff, and move to another country and start over. That was 18 years ago. Do we ever want to ‘go home’? We are home. The place I grew up, the place I lived for 20 years, they aren’t the same anymore. Almost nobody I knew is there anymore. My life is here. But I may be atypical.
Follows the strange story of Chiaki, a daydreaming otaku who longs to confess her feelings to her childhood friend, Fumiko, and how that's made especially difficult when she gets transported to another world...
