Creator Yap because Looking over this chapter there is alot that I added in that interrelates painstakingly and confusingly---

Time to talk about qualitative vs quantitative metrics.
Qualitative is non numerical data. Its descriptive- And favours complex experiences over the pursual of a statistically relevant finding.
Quantitative is numerical data. It can be measured on scores. Density. Number of times. E.c.t.

Qualitative categories in psychology are generally going to be think like ' qualify' but in a non-numerical sense. E.g. say you're doing like he mentions here a study on emotions. Youd think sadness, happiness and disgust might be qualitative data, right? but if you count these things like. One person said they were happy after dropping ice cream. But two others say they were sad. That is Quantitative. Because you can Quantify it- as a number. But what if you asked what someone specifically though about their experience surrounding dropping the ice cream. You would use their response which differs completely from others to measure up and compare on a more complex level.

What Arwin says here is very condensed and doesn't expand much on the relation between these metric systems vs what he said before. Essentially hes comparing very shoddily how these metrical systems seem to only repeat a cause and affect chain rather than even being unique or relevant...
