As he approached it, he was proven right. Unlike the doorframe which felt like it had an entire iceberg stuck inside, the window only had a thin sheet of frozen H2O encasing it. For a moment, Narvy was torn between two ideas. Hastily smash the ice along with the entire window or, carefully break the ice around the window and open it normally. Eventually, Narvy decided to go with the first option. He grabbed his ice axe and swung it towards the contraption, shattering it into a thousand pieces of ice and glass.

Upon doing this, he solved one problem but came face to face with another one. Although not as bad as the one they witnessed near the forest, there was still a vicious blizzard outside. Narvy knew that climbing out of a building through the window from such a great height would already be hard. But this seemed to make the idea impossible. On top of that, the chilling winds and particles of snow were now getting into the room. Unless he wanted everyone to die of hypothermia, he needed to think of something and fast.

As Narvy turned to the others, he developed an idea after looking at the hooks they were all holding. He turned back to the former windowsill, seeing if his master escape plan was doable. Lucky for him, the terrain around this section of the castle dipped into a steep mountainous slope. "Our climbing hooks are big enough to secure neatly around this windowsill." "Let's swing down from here and hopefully we can find that staircase again," announced Narvy, hoping everyone wouldn't mind the idea. "That doesn't sound safe at all," objected Oliver. "I don't think we have any other way out," explained Narvy definitively.

Despite some worries, everyone rested their hooks on the windowsill. After putting their safety harnesses back on, Narvy, Rita, Elsa and Oliver threw themselves out of the window like they were skydiving. While doing this, they were not relying on parachutes, but rather ascenders. Narvy was the first Braw Agent to fall to the full length of his rope. From there, he got blown around a bit, before letting himself ram into the mountain. He firmly placed his feet on the ledge and waited for the others to come by. "ONCE YOU"VE FALLEN ALL THE WAY, MAKE YOUR FEET LAND ON THE MOUNTAIN," shouted Narvy as loud as possible, thinking the blizzard would muddy his speech.

Within no time, Rita, Elsa and Oliver arrived where Narvy was standing. "What now?" asked Rita. Narvy lowered his eyes and saw the icy staircase, however it was quite far down. "I was hoping we'd fall next to the stairs, but it looks like we're going to have to climb around the mountain until we can reach them safely," improvised Narvy.

He climbed a tiny distance up Mount Unhaie, just so he had room to detach the hook from the castle's windowsill. After a couple of tries, he finally managed to make the rope come falling down. He lassoed it around and flung it towards one side of the mountain, penetrating the thick, rocky formation. Once he felt confident about his grip, Narvy used his makeshift swing to glide through the blizzard and land one of the frozen steps. It wasn't long until the others did the same.

Without wasting anytime, Narvy, Rita, Elsa and Oliver walked down the staircase of ice cubes. However, each step they made was incredibly slow, due to the wild blizzard and the lack of any handrail. Ten minutes into the descend, Rita got impatient and suggested a new idea.

"This is taking too long, we should use our ascenders to get down," she announced proudly. She drew the long rope out of her ascender and threw it down with force. The hook stabbed the lower section of the staircase, while getting stuck in the icy platform. Rita jumped forward, hoping to make some kind of aerodynamic U-turn from Point A to Point B. While it wasn't as smooth and extravagant as she hoped, her idea still worked the way she intended. Narvy and Elsa followed shortly after. As much as Oliver didn't like the idea, he knew the staircase option would take way too long and expose everyone to the harsh elements for much longer. So he did the action with no reluctance.

The Braw Agents kept swinging from ice step to ice step until they finally reached the bottom of Mount Unhaie. From where they stood, they were able to see the bottom of the staircase for the first time. Although it was a cool sight, they couldn't admire it for long. Narvy, Rita, Elsa and Oliver ran around the wide perimeter of Mount Unhaie hoping to find their warm base. When they finally found the vehicle, it was not a moment of relief.

"No no no no no," panicked Narvy as he ran towards the base. It was barely visible due to a giant clump of snow that had piled on top of it. He spent five seconds brushing the snow off the exterior, trying to find the door. When he found it, his heart loosened with relief when it responded to the key. Everyone immediately got inside, turned the heater on and looked for things to increase their warmth.

While Rita, Elsa and Oliver were getting cosy, Narvy was in the driver's cab, investigating the control panel. He frantically looked for any signs of damage. The handbrake, steering wheel and dial all appeared to be unharmed, but that didn't calm Narvy's nerves. "Oliver, can you come here please? I want you to start the engine," asked Narvy in a perturbed way. "I need to know if this vehicle still works, hopefully the damage isn't too bad," he added once Oliver came to him. Without wasting any time, Oliver pugged the key into the base. He turned it on a fourty five-degree angle and unleashed its roar. However, it wasn't the usual wake up thrust, but rather a rusty cough. "I don't think this vehicle's going to work anymore," mourned Oliver. "The snow must have clogged the engine," replied Narvy. "I only got to use this vehicle for two missions," he sighed in frustration.

Oliver also had a distressed look on his face, but not for the reason Narvy expected. "I'm worried about those emperors," he blurted. "Me too, they're putting everyone at risk," replied Narvy. "It's not just that, those emperors don't seem to realise the meaning of those letters, they don't have to be enemies and harm each other just to live fulfilling lives," explained Oliver. "Is this reminding you of what happened to your art student," asked Narvy. "Yes, but he was able to change, hopefully they can too," Oliver suggested with determination. "I'm sorry about the base, I should've parked it under some shelter," he apologized. "Don't feel bad about it, I don't think there's any type of shelter around here" explained Narvy.

"So, we're stranded," groaned Rita. "I wouldn't say that, we still have the telecoin," stated Narvy. "Oh yeah, I forgot about that," commented Rita with a much more upbeat tone. "What do we do now? we've already been to the castle," asked Elsa. "We'll contact the other group and ask how they're doing," answered Narvy. "Bobby told me they were already two thirds of the way to their castle when I sent the message." "Hopefully, they didn't get captured like we did." "Okay, are we going in The Moonlands for much longer or not?" asked Elsa out of morbid curiosity. "Unless the other group wasn't able to reach the castle or leave without getting caught, we'll probably leave The Moonlands tomorrow, there's no point in staying here anymore," explained Narvy. "That's good, I was kinda getting sick of the snow anyway," confessed Elsa. "Me too," agreed Narvy.

As the sub-zero sky darkened, The Braw Agents decided to get some rest. They didn't know what tomorrow would entail, but they had to prepare themselves for all of the possible circumstances.
