Bella entered the abandoned library.

After waiting for a few moments, she decided to leave.

'People say there are ghosts here in the library who can grant people's wishes.'

'But it seems like it’s only a rumor.'

She turned around to leave when...

"Aren't you going to tell your wish?"

Bella froze in place.

"Who... who’s talking?"

She slowly turned around and saw a little ghost smiling at her.

"G-ghost."

"Don't be scared. Didn’t you come here to make your wish come true?"

"Yes."

"My name is Emily. What’s yours?"

"Bella."

"Okay, let’s go see the Ghost King."

"Ghost King?"

"Yes, he will grant your wish."

Emily dragged her further into the library.

"It’s been ages since a human came to make a wish."

"What is your wish, human?"

"This is the Ghost King—Great Ghost Kevin."

Emily introduced her.

"Oh! Hello, Ghost King."

"What do you want? Money? Jewels?"

"No, I want to sing."

"What? Sing?"

They both asked in shocked.

"Actually, I have a singing competition at my school, but my singing is horrible."

"Why did you even enter the competition?"

"I... I want to impress my crush," she said with a shy smile.

Kevin frowned.

"Crush."

"Anyway, first let me hear your voice."

"Ahem."

She prepared herself to sing.

"O, my love. I love you so much..."

"Stop! Stop it!"

She stopped singing immediately.

"Was it that bad?"

"My ears are going to bleed because of that."

"Who are you?"

Someone said from beside.

"I’m Leo. And yes, you sing horribly. ‘Horrible’ doesn’t even cover it."

She pouted.

She looked at their faces and disappointed was visible there.

"Even the Ghost King can’t help me now."

"No, that not true..."

Before Emily can finish Bella trun around.

"I’m sorry for wasting your time."

She left with a heavy heart.

"Oh! She really got upset."

Leo told while looking at her dispersing figure walking away.

"You’re the one who made her upset!" Kevin shouted at him.

"Yes, but you like it, because you sing as horribly as she did. Haha!"

"YOU LITTLE—"

"Hey, you two stop fighting! We have to help her."

"Yeah, I can’t help but use my power."

"Hmm, let’s help that pink koala."

The three of them nodded.

I shouldn’t have entered the competition.

Now if I sing horribly, what will he think of me?

Stupid, stupid, stupid, Bella.

She started hitting herself in frustration.

"What’s the meaning of loving someone who can’t love you as you are?"

"Huh!"

She opened her eyes and saw Leo in front of her, flying upside-down.

"What? What are you doing here?"

"Foolish human. We came to help."

"We?"

She looked around and saw Emily and Kevin.

"You guys really came to help me?"

"Yes."

"Thank you, thank you so much."

"Next performer: Bella!"

The host announced her name.

"Go to the stage and see the magic."

"H-huh... O-okay."

Bella went on stage and looked around. Her crush was sitting in front of her.

She got nervous again.

Yeah, I can do this.

She took a deep breath and opened her mouth…

The first note wobbled, making her stomach twist, but then she remembered Emily’s encouraging smile and Kevin’s ghostly presence.

Slowly, her voice grew stronger, filling the room with a melody everyone couldn’t ignore.

"I wanna be a hero.

I wanna be a star.

I wanna go up on the sky.

Do you feel the vibe?

We are so close.

Do you feel the dream of yours?

All my life I’ve tried to find what makes me alive.

And hold me through life.

Dreamers,

We will be a hero.

We will never stop.

We will never..."

She sang beautifully.

Emily threw flowers to make the performance more memorable.

The Ghost King made sure no one could look away from her.

At last, she finished the song.

Everyone clapped for her and even stood up.

"I just stood up on my own even though my hands were clapping uncontrollably."

"Yeah, mine too."

"What’s happening?"

Leo, who was flying, smiled.

Backstage:

"Thank you again."

"I was able to sing because of you guys."

"Don’t mention it."

"You also did a good job."

Emily gave her a thumbs-up.

"Look, your crush is here."

Leo pointed behind her.

Bella looked and saw her crush approaching.

"You sang so beautifully today."

"Thank you."

"Would you like to go on a date with me?"

"Yes!" she said immediately.

"Oh! That was fast!"

I’ve been waiting for this all my life.

Thanks to all the ghosts, I can date my crush.

When the Ghost King came to her and said:

"Wake up."

"Huh?"

"Wake up, or you’ll be late."

She opened her eyes and saw Kevin standing there.

"Wake up, princess, or you’ll be late. Don’t you have a competition today?"

She sat up immediately.

"Was it a dream?"

"What dream, my love?"

"Competition."

"Yes, you have a competition today. Your mom is cooking downstairs; I’m going to help her. You come quickly, okay?"

"Honey, do you need any help?"

Kevin left the room.

That meant it really was a dream.

"Ugh! I became a fool."
