Wow here it is! I can't believe we've sat on this idea for almost ten years D: It does NOT feel that long and I'm a little bummed it took so long to make it a reality.
But we've been down a looooooong road of reevaluating our relationship to art and creativity, and I guess needed to get all that out of our system (no pun intended) first. But speaking of that pun, this comic is our most self-inserty comic yet, with every main character being a direct or indirect representation of a system member, and more likely to resemble how they are IRL. And we've taken a lot more stuff from our real life too, like character's jobs or hobbies based on personal experience.
This comic isn't as plural as roomie (yet?) but is intended to be an anthem for the wider AuDHD and disability community. Part of our re-learning creativity involved really drilling down on what our all time favorite tropes in fiction are, and they've all been distilled into this comic. There's going to be a lot of tropes rarely seen in fiction, or rarely done before in this way... Hopefully in a good way. I think it'll be good.
I'm pumped about the art style too. It's basically my middle finger to both AI art and dime a dozen manhwa. And it's even quicker to draw than roomie.
The final bit of good news is we're even launching with a buffer! I don't expect this comic to always have a buffer, I intend it to be in direct conversation with the community, kind of like a soap opera. But 3/4 Acts of Episode 1 are already finished. I'm considering a rate of one Act (what Tapas calls episodes) per week, with a 2-4 week break between Episodes (which are basically mini-arcs). But you can always read ahead on Patreon.
Finally, this comic will only be hosted here and on Webtoons. No private website hosting. I got sick of managing that. But maybe if this gets really popular, it might be worth it later. Might have a Global Comix mirror eventually too.
Monster girl (gender neutral) slice of life/ensemble drama. Updates on Mondays with regular breaks between arcs.
Quin knows exactly how to be the perfect partner to his new boyfriend, Luke, since he can see the future. Quin is also the only one who knows they're destined to break up... luckily the future isn't set in stone. There's plots about other characters, too.
This is a queer magical slice of life that's secretly also about disability maintenance and AuDHD culture.
