Dilvei swung her hand one more time, slashing the motionless body into pieces. Thunder rumbled, light flashing across the darkening sky.
Her device buzzed.
Eliminated the thirteenth member. Threat received by the West River organization.
Dilvei closed her eyes. Rain washed away the blood from her palms.
“How many till the meeting?”
“1 hour, Sir.”
She looked up and grinned.
Not bad.
***
“Aaaah!! Dilvei, look here!”
“I can’t believe we really got the chance to meet her!”
Cameras flashed.
“Are you heading to the Society?”
“Is West River retreating?”
Dilvei smiled.
“Patience, ladies and gentlemen. The Society will make an announcement tonight.”
The crowd squealed.
“Dilvei, can you please sign my shirt?”
“Can you say my name?”
She chuckled.
The door clicked. A man in suit stood waiting.
“Lady Allevtte, reporting back after West River mission, Sir Andrei.”
The room erupted. Andrei applauded.
“Slayed thirteen top 100 within an hour, you’re always breaking records, aren’t you?”
“Hahaha, it was quite the enjoyment, if I say.”
“The next plane will be in 2 hours. Please enjoy some refreshments in your suite.”
Andrei watched Dilvei as she walked away. Her gaze still send chills down his spine. Why is he even here? Helping the heiress of the most powerful entity family to, what, help with facial recognition?
“Psst, Dilvei have arrived.”
“For real? After defeating the special talents and partying with the Society? Doesn’t she get a bit drunk?”
“Even heard she took her prostitute clubbing for the whole night and drove her home.”
“I guess entities don’t really get drunk…?”
“Nah, either it’s because she’s and Allevtte, or she just parties a lot. One time she made the heirs and heiresses of Sollivaine and Aethelgard so drunk they puked on each other.”
“She’s also a real psycho. Her grin after the entrance combat will always send me chills.”
“Yeah, her only weakness beside her dead blunt words is her facial recognition.”
“Oh my, hahaha, yes, her facial recognition skills!”
“Good thing her husband’s the general – his face is just too beautiful.”
“How did they meet again?”
“Some said when they reunited at the 10 year war, she mistook him as an enemy and threw him along with five guys that jumped her.”
“Wait, then who won when she jumped him?”
Dilvei smiled annoyedly. She turned around and entered the room.
They fell silent. Isn’t she supposed to go to her suite? Wait… did they not close the door properly?
Shit, they’re fucked!
Dilvei grinned.
“You know, I didn’t think I have so much fans, but I prefer my fanbase outside than the very intriguing conversation you all have here.”
“Ww-we’re very sorry, Ma’am!”
“Not that they are inaccurate.”
Their eyes widened.
“Which one, Ma’am?!”
“Hmmm… on second thought, you all look cuter with curiosity.”
She winked and walked away. The staff exchanged aghast glances. They should be feeling lucky to still be alive, but a second ago it turned to curiosity, and now… they don’t know! What is this rollercoaster of feelings?
