Sean speaks nervously, slightly embarrassed,
"Uhmm… I just… well, I'm terrible at conversations, especially when I'm nervous. So I just start talking about random animal facts."
James lets out a laugh — relieved, the spiraling suddenly turning into something manageable and light‑hearted.
"I can tell you're nervous. But I think it's kind of cute, and that fact is definitely something to be nervous about."
Sean finally lets out a breath, relaxing into the new atmosphere James creates so effortlessly.
"Thanks," he murmurs, settling down beside him.
They sit quietly together for a moment. James reaches over and gently pats Sean’s back — grounding him, steadying him.
"Relax, you're fine. You're doing great at conversation."
Sean, a bit taken aback by the kindness, settles down fully. The tension drains from his shoulders.
James speaks again, softer this time:
"I'm glad you decided to sit with me again."
Sean’s thoughts warm, gentle and relieved:
"I'm glad I found him and he doesn't seem so sad this time." — Sean
