I looked away, shaking off my thoughts. I thought he was someone who just caught my eyes, could be the reason that I was  curious about him or I found him just attractive. That's why my eyes were chasing him everywhere I looked. Either way, I was wrong all along. It was more. Days kept passing like that. As I was exploring other clubs as well,I only saw him in debate club.That got me thinking that maybe he was only interested in debating, not like me exploring every single room like a multipotentialite. 

I don’t know for some reason, I was also drawn to this club even though I don’t like debating much. At least, not more than sports.After that week the senior students of that club held an interview procedure to select executive members from our class  for that club. I participated in the interview and it went pretty well. Out of surprise, I was selected and added to the executive members online group. I became happy but I was happier seeing him there. An account with that familiar, beautiful smile. Theo! His name was Theo Sawyer. I didn’t even dare to text him though. I was just admiring him  from afar and wishing that  he would reach out at first which he did. He texted me first. 

It was around mid november. The school arranges “Winter Talent Hunt Fest” every year. It is a yearly extra curricular activity event where students participate in different competitions arranged  by different clubs to prove their knowledge and talent. For instance, there was single and team debate competition from debate club, cricket-badminton championship from sports club,etc. I enlisted my name for a team debate competition as an executive member from the debate club so I was about to team up with another executive member and one outside the club.

I didn’t know who I was gonna team up with as the seniors were supposed to set that up for us. One of the days like that I came back from school and took a nap. When I woke up and turned  my mobile on, it was blowing with texts from the club group. I didn’t realize what was happening at first until I opened the texts and read some of them that the pairing list for team debate just published. Students were texting about their teammates and their plan to win and so on. I was scrolling and stopped. Out of my horror, I couldn’t believe what I just saw. Theo just mentioned me in that group and told me to check his dm where he already texted me but I didn’t notice. My heart just stumbled to a rock and was throbbing like a sprinter. 

“I WAS GOING TO TEAM UP WITH THEO SAYWER.”  I couldn’t believe myself for a while. I had to pinch myself to make me believe that it was true and I wasn’t dreaming. “Oh man, what  a beautiful world! God is so good.”
