In the Chinese language, "four" sounds a lot like "death". Hence, that number has historically been considered unlucky.
Unless, of course, you are Dezimal Threat (he/him, male)
As a challenge, I have decided to try to commit to a comic for every day of the fourth month that contains the number "4", trying to have them published in 4 PM, and especially at a time that corresponds to the date. Today, for 4/14, I publish my comics on time at 4:14 (coincidentally, at the same time I have finally discovered a good level of non-effort).
Current cast so far:
Dezimal Threat (he/him, male) - rich person trying to make Dez Day a thing. (don't ask what Dez Day means)
April Fuoshi (she/her, female) - goddess of force. Spends most of her days half-dressed in her apartment. Unfortunate correspondence of Dez.
Kat Cinq (she/her, female) - unfortunately hired Dez to provide the songs for her aunt's funeral.
Forla Cinq (she/her, female) - unfortunately had to die by spontaneous stop sign manifestation in the same universe with Dez.
(Forla's name needs no explanation for its match with the theme. Kat's name would need some more explaining: it sounds similar to the French word for "four". Hence, why her surname is the French word for "five").
Welcome to Dez Day, everyone! Updated every fourth month in a day containing "four", Dez Day is a
1) a comic dedicated to Dez Day, some holiday brainstormed and focus-tested by "leading billionaire brilliant-mind" Dezimal Threat as he attempts to make it a thing
2) an exercise to produce the most low-effort high-quality work.
3) just something to do for joy
Don't expect quality. Actually, don't really expect that much. But I'll try to work it so you can epxect every "day containing four" for every fourth month.
For sure!
