The way I see it, this whole comic is about life and death. The man jumps into the water (that's him being born), he meets a fish, has children, lives a long, wonderful life, and then seems to abandon the fish when he comes back up to the surface (death). But this was all conveyed in a fantasticly drawn short story webcomic
