Just like the previous encounter, she dipped her finger into the red goo and brought it to her mouth.
This time, a feeling of heat—scorching even—consumed her whole body.
The flames roared inside her, but she felt no pain.
She didn't feel that much discomfort this time; maybe her tolerance was raised along with her stats.
After the initial disorientation, she stood up, her legs steady.
This time, a notification sounded in her head.
She noticed that under the HP bar, the MP one was unlocked.
It started at 20/20.
"Magic Power," she thought. "I finally have mana."
Along with that, a skill was granted to her.
"Fireball."
She could cast a small, palm-sized fireball with her hand.
It cost 5 MP each.
She held her palm out, her index finger glowing with a faint ember.
"Let's test it out," she whispered.
A small orb of fire danced in her fingertips, the heat radiating warmly against her bare skin.
"5 MP," she calculated. "That's a quarter of my pool."
"Cheap enough for now."
She flicked her wrist, sending the fireball flying into the empty hallway.
It exploded against the wall, leaving a blackened scar on the blue stone.
"That'll do," she smirked.
Another good news: Slime Mimicry has been upgraded.
"Partially to Half."
Now she could transform not only a limb, but four body parts.
"Woa, this is interesting," she said, amazed.
She focused, and her two arms and two legs turned into jelly, wobbly and translucent.
She played with them a little, watching her hands glide into the stone and her feet sink into the floor.
"So slippery," she giggled.
Then she switched back to normal, her limbs solidifying into their human forms again.

There was no more distraction, no more swaying around aimlessly as she walked.
She stood up, testing her balance, her movements steady once more.

"Perfect," she panted, adjusting her posture.

Tapping at the shop interface again, she navigated to the Equipment section.
She noticed that only a few items were within her reach: a leather shirt, leather pants, leather gloves, leather shoes, and a leather hat.
Each cost 5 LP.
Biting her under lip hard until it turned white, she made the decision.
She bought them all, requiring 25 LP in total.
Five pieces of equipment immediately materialized on her body, fitting snugly over her stretched, fluid-covered form.
The leather felt cool and tight against her skin, hugging her bulging belly.
Each piece raised her VIT by 1.
That meant she had 10 maximum HP more, bringing her total to 85.

"Finally fully equipped," she sighed, running her gloved hands over the texture of the leather pants.
The protection gave her a strange sense of security, even with her unique internal situation.
She tested her range of motion, the leather stretched softly as she moved her limbs.
It felt restrictive but strengthening, a balm on her heightened senses.
"Now to explore and escape this place properly," she muttered, her eyes glowing with renewed determination.

Inside a small hole quite far away from Lyssandra's position, humping sounds could be heard everywhere.
Their combined noise created a cacophony of debauchery that echoed off the damp stone walls.
Thud. Thud. Slap.
Many of the humping figures could be seen rocking their hips forth and back with mechanical, animalistic rhythm.
They were short in stature, with huge, distended bellies, pointy ears, and sickly green skin.
Goblins.
