The cascade of debris halted abruptly.
Only enough rock fell to fill one-third of the deep pit.
Leaving the rest open, dark, and filled with groaning sounds from below.
Lyssandra didn't hesitate.
She leaped down gracefully, landing lightly on the pile of rubble.
Dust swirled around her heels as she approached the trapped giant.
The Hobgoblin was pinned beneath tons of stone, yet still alive.

She stared at the floating menu, eyes narrowing thoughtfully.
"Decision, decision…" she murmured, tapping chin with gloved finger.
"Everything looks good. But you know my character…"
A wicked smile curled her lips as she made her choice.
"Of course, Flesh Conduit it is."
She selected the option, feeling a strange warmth spread through her veins.
Her body felt lighter, more fluid, as if every muscle and organ could rearrange themselves at will.
Perfect for what came next.
She reached down and swept aside the smaller rocks covering his crotch.
Peering beneath the debris, she let out a relieved sigh as she inspected the situation.
"Lucky. Still working."

"Now you can die."
Her hand, still covered in sticky slime tendrils, moved upward.
The tendrils burrowed into his face, slipping between his eyelids.
They probed deep, seeking the soft tissue behind his eyes.
With a sickening squelch, they pierced through his skull.
The tendrils wriggled further, locating the brain deep inside.
Lyssandra clenched her fist, the slime tightening around the grey matter.
She crushed it slowly, grinding the organ into mush.
The hobgoblin's eyes rolled back, life fading instantly.
His body went limp, twitching once more before stillness claimed him.
"Haa…" she took a deep breath, stabilizing herself.
