Holy hell; what just happened!? I knew there was something about those planes. My heart is pounding like I've never felt it, but I'll try my best to explain what happened. It was around 10:00AM, and we were at Tidmouth Halt with our morning passenger train again. Me and Erick had went into the station to grab a quick drink when we suddenly heard a loud sound of planes outside. We rushed back out to see 2 planes flying above the station! The bottom of the planes opened up and out came what looked like red mist? Me and Erick rushed into Duck's cab just as the mist started to land on the passengers, and they started to scream in pain! Duck also started shaking as the mist began to surround his wheels! I'd had enough, without waiting for the guard to blow his whistle, I threw open the regulator, and we took off leaving with the few passengers that had been in the coaches leaving the others stranded on the platform still screaming!
It didn't take long for us to fully escape the mist as not much had been dropped. Duck suddenly heard a familiar whistle, and around the bend with a ballast train came Oliver with his brakevan Toad! Duck whistled and yelled at him to go back, and Oliver did so. He slammed on his brakes and took off in reverse just as the mist started to get close!
Soon enough, we exited the branch and were soon approaching the familiar town of Tidmouth. We felt a sudden swerve as we switched tracks. I then realized we were heading straight for the yards! I slammed on Duck's brakes, and we came to a stop just before we went into the turntable well. I yelled at the passengers to close any and all windows to stay safe as Erick hopped out of the cab to turn the turntable. I had just got Duck on the turntable when we all heard a loud bang behind us! It was Oliver and Toad! Oliver had burst his safety valve and couldn't move! We suddenly heard the sound of a plane in the distance, and I knew we had to act fast. We got turned and we coupled up to Toad. We pulled him away and shunted him into the shed as the sound of the plane was getting closer. Duck then decided that we'd run-round in front of Oliver to get him away. We turned around again and bolted towards Oliver just as the plane entered the yard! As we got onto Oliver's track, we saw the plane above him dropping the mist! Oliver started to cough badly but that didn't stop us, we backed up to Oliver and pulled him out of the mist. We then raced into the other set of sheds in the yard and shut the doors just as the plane reached us again! It dropped another spray of mist, but luckily none got in.
I was finally able to Catch my breath while Erick went to a corner of the shed and sat on the ground. I was about to sit down in the cab when I heard Duck scream! I jumped out of the cab and ran around to the front of Duck who was staring in pure terror at Oliver. When I looked over to Oliver, I jumped back and fell onto the floor. A part of his face had this weird red infection on it which bled into his right eye. I couldn't believe what I was looking at, I tried to tell myself I was dreaming, but I obviously wasn't. Oliver looked extremely tense, and couldn't even look up at us. I got up, and I looked at Duck, who was very upset over the condition of his best friend. I went to check on Oliver's crew, but they were both passed out. They also had the same type of infection on their faces as Oliver, so I decided to leave them be.
After I took a minute to process what happened, I looked around for anything we could use, and sadly there was nothing; not even a radio. I decided we should wait until there's no more mist and no planes in sight before we do anything else. That's when I went into Duck's cab and decided to write all this down. We've been in here for a few hours now, and I have no clue what to do next. I'm just going to try and get some sleep since we thankfully had some blankets in Duck's cab to keep us warm. I'll update this tomorrow; goodnight.
