BUNNY

The days following Sunday had been great, but unlike my usual routine, now I had something else in my schedule. At certain times of the day, I would sneak away with Keegan to have make-out sessions. But even though we were both attracted to each other, our encounters never went beyond kissing. He would sneak his hands under my clothes sometimes, but it was not enough. I was dying to feel him more, and I was not the only one who wanted it.

‘I swear if we keep just kissing, I’m going to take over, kneel in front of him, and take his pants down with me.’ Mir, my animal self, said in my mind in a frustrated tone.

Rabbit shifters were known for having strong sexual instincts, and Keegan was triggering them each time he kissed me. Adding the fact that he was our fated mate made the instincts stronger. The scent of Chardonnay hit my nose, bringing me back to reality. I turned to see Keegan leaning on the barn’s door, looking at me with a flirty smile.

“Hey. What are you doing here?” I asked with a soft smile.

“Just appreciating the view.” He said with a grin, looking me up and down. “Do you know how good you look in those pants?”

“I do? You like them? Emil helped me pick them.” I said, swaying my hips a bit, giving him a better view of what he wanted to see. I heard a low growl come from him. I smiled triumphantly, knowing I had made Keegan feel a certain way even with clothes on.

“I’m going to have to thank him for that.” The alpha mentioned.

“So, are you here just to watch or are you going to help me?” I asked with an arched brow at him.

“A little bit of both.” He mentioned and walked closer to me until he was standing right in front of me. “And also a little bit of this.”

The alpha grabbed me by the waist, pulling me closer to him, and then joined our lips in a passionate kiss. I was shocked by the sudden action, but I corresponded the kiss with need. Keegan’s kisses were slowly becoming an addiction. His hands moved down my waist and to my butt; his palms closed and squeezed me softly. I let out a moan between the kiss. I almost felt my sanity disappear, and let my rabbit instinct take over. I moved closer to him and felt something hard against my leg. Keegan was as eager and turned on as me. Remembering Mir’s words from earlier, I wanted to kneel in front of him and suck him off right here at the barn. I wanted to taste every part of him. 

‘Fuck it.’ I said to myself and broke the kiss apart, ready to kneel down, but the sound of someone clearing their throat behind us made me jump away from the alpha. Gary was standing near the barn’s door with a smile.

“This is not what it seems, boss.” Is what came out of my mouth in a hurry. 

“You remind me of the times when Jeremiah and I sneaked out after practice to make out.” Gary said with a giggle. 

“Urgh. You didn’t need to say that.” Keegan shivered at the thought of his parents sneaking out to make out when they were young.

“Well, Keegan was just leaving, and I was going back to the horses.” I mentioned, nervous. Keegan looked at me, and I just nodded. 

“Yes. I was just leaving.” He said with a sigh, but before he left. He leaned down to me and whispered into my ear. “Come to my room tonight, Bunbun. We can finish what we started.”

‘Holy shit. It’s happening.’ Mir freaked out in my mind. 

I watched Keegan walk out of the barn in a trance. His words playing in my head over and over again. He wanted me to come to his room. I almost freaked out right there, but I remembered I was not alone. I turned to my boss, and the omega was looking at me with a knowing smile. I felt my face burning with how hard I was blushing. Making out with someone in the middle of work was so unprofessional of me. 

“Sorry you had to see that, Gary.” I apologized, embarrassed.

“I’m happy you two decided to give it a try.” He said with a big smile. “You look cute together.”

“Oh, no no. We are not together.” I clarified. I didn’t want to give him the wrong idea. Keegan and I hadn’t even stated what kind of relationship we had.

“Then what kind of relationship do you have?” Gary asked with curiosity. 

“I don’t know how to answer that.” I mentioned, sincerely.

“Well, relationship or not. You two are fated mates, and I’m happy you are going to be part of our family officially on paper, Meadow.” Gary said with a gentle smile, and I blushed, not knowing what to answer. Before I could say anything, the omega placed his hand on my shoulder, and before he left, he said. “Now get back to work.”

“Yes, boss.” I said, blushing, and then I was left alone in the barn.

As I continued to work, I couldn’t stop thinking about Keegan’s invitation to his room tonight. The anticipation in my chest grew by the hour, and the day couldn’t have felt more endless. But knowing the reward I was going to get at the end of the day motivated me to do my job better.

KEEGAN

My heart pounded fast in my chest after I had invited Meadow to my room. I had walked out of that barn looking calm, but I was in fact freaking out inside. I had been dying to get to the next stage with him; kisses were not enough anymore, and I was ready to take him to my bed. I continued to do my tasks, waiting for the hours to pass so I could see Bunny again, but the day felt endless. I was helping Owen with some tech stuff from the reservation page of the hotel when I realized something.

‘Fuck. I don’t have condoms.’ I said in my mind.

‘Perfect. Better for breading our bunny.’ Keith mentioned. ‘I heard rabbits shifters are quite fertile.’

‘No. Absolutely not. We need condoms.’ I said. It was our first time, and as much as I thought having cubs would be nice, it was not the time for that. ‘Shit. What should I do? I don’t have enough time to go to town and buy some.’

“Earth to Keegan. You okay?” Owen’s voice broke me away from my thoughts. He was looking at me with concern.

“Yes. I’m okay.” I said with a sigh.

“Mmm. What bothers you, brother?” He asked, knowing there was something.

“Uhm…” I hesitated on telling him. I let out a sigh and decided to do it, but first, I needed his secrecy promise. “Promise you won’t tell anyone.”

“I promise.” He said with a nod.

“Promise on your husband and kids' lives you won’t tell a soul about this.” I said in a serious tone.

“Okay. Okay. I promise. I won’t tell anyone.” He rolled his eyes, annoyed. “Jeez, you sound like you committed a crime or something bad.”

“I need condoms, but I don’t have time to go to town.” I mentioned.

“What? Condoms for what?” He asked, confused, but then saw something click in his head from the way his expression changed from confusion to fascination. “Oh. Oh~”

“No teasing allowed. But yes, it’s what you are thinking.” I said before he could tease me about it.

“Wow. So you finally fell for him, huh?” He asked with a grin.

“Kind of. He is just…too hard to resist.” I confessed with a sigh. Just thinking about Meadow made my heart jump.

“Oh, I can imagine. Been there with Cecil.” My brother said with a chuckle. “So condoms?”

“Yes. I need one or some. At least until I buy my own.” I said, a little embarrassed. I was a grown man, and here I was asking my brother for help with condoms.

“Well, I can give you some of mine.” Owen offered. “Cecil won’t mind.”

“Will they fit, though?” I asked him. 

“Dude, we are twins. We are pretty much the same.” He said, amused, and I nodded.

“Okay. Thank you. I will give them back to you when I buy some.” I said, grateful, and then continued to work on the page. With that problem solved, all I had to do now was wait.
