We finally see Chiaki, who is... here. But as I think most of you expected, she's not waking up. She's alive, but not conscious.
At least, not here in this room she isn't.
We haven't seen much of Fumiko and Emma (Chiaki's mom) talking to each other, but presumably they've had time to discuss what happened. Seeing her daughter in a coma, though, Emma asks to hear it again. It doesn't seem she was pushed. It doesn't seem it was self-harm. It seems she simply tripped. But is it possible that there was more to it...?
Emma finds some kind of relief in knowing there didn't appear to be any foul play, but it obviously doesn't make things much better. Her daughter is still in serious condition. That's still a lot to take in.
Follows the strange story of Chiaki, a daydreaming otaku who longs to confess her feelings to her childhood friend, Fumiko, and how that's made especially difficult when she gets transported to another world...
