After the canteen incident, Azaan went back to the classroom. It was language period, and Josh sir had already started teaching the lesson.

But Azaan wasn't paying attention to the class at all.

His mind was completely filled with thoughts about Viki.

Since morning, Viki had looked sick and week. The way he sat silently, the tired look on his face, and his weak movements kept bothering Azaan.

Josh sir soon noticed that Azaan wasn't listening.

"Azaan, stand up and continue from where I stopped," he said.

Azaan immediately stood up from his seat, but unfortunately, he hadn't listened to even a single word from the lesson.

The classroom became silent.

Azaan stood there awkwardly without answering.

Josh sir sighed softly before asking him to sit down.

"Listen to the class properly," he warned before continuing the lesson.

Azaan quietly sat back down in embarrassment while a few students looked at him curiously.

Still, his thought slowly moved toward Viki again.

After some time, the lunch bell rang.

Azaan and his friend Sam went to the canteen together for lunch.

While eating, Azaan kept expecting Viki to come there too.

And he did.

But unlike usual, Viki was sitting alone quietly.

He was slowly eating soup, the kind people usually drink when they are sick.

The sight made Azaan worry even more.

Even though he wanted to go and talk to Viki, he couldn't gather the courage.

So instead, he just kept observing him from a distance.

Whenever Azaan looked at Viki, something warm and strange filled his heart.

Soon, lunch break ended and all the students returned to their classrooms.

The afternoon attendance started.

While viki was calling names, Azaan noticed that Viki looked even weaker now.

His voice sounded soft and tired.

Azaan became completely distracted worrying about him.

Meanwhile, the viki called Azaan's name once.

No response.

Twice.

Still no response.

Only when his name was called for the third time did Azaan suddenly answer.

"Present!"

Viki quietly glanced at him for a moment before looking away again.

The remaining periods slowly passed by.

Finally, the last bell rang.

Students immediately packed their bags and started leaving for home.

Azaan packed his bag too.

"Come, let's go eat ice cream on the way," Sam suggested.

But Azaan refused because his mind was somewhere else.

He was searching for Viki.

Soon, he noticed Viki walking alone toward the road.

Without thinking much, Azaan quietly started following him.

Viki had earphones in and was listening to songs while walking slowly.

Azaan followed behind him silently, still worried about his condition.

After some distance, Viki stopped near a medical shop to buy medicine.

That was when Azaan realized how serious his sickness actually was.

Even while walking, Viki looked weak, as if he could collapse at any moment.

After buying the medicine, Viki slowly continued walking until he reached the bus stand.

Azaan stayed nearby, secretly watching him.

While waiting for the bus, Viki suddenly looked dizzy.

His body lost balance.

And before anyone could react—

Viki collapsed.

"Aye! Viki!"

Azaan immediately rushed toward him in panic.

Fear filled his chest as he held Viki carefully.

"Viki… wake up… please…"

His hands trembled.

Without wasting another second, Azaan quickly called an ambulance.

But because of heavy traffic, the ambulance was getting delayed.

Azaan became even more terrified.

He carefully kept Viki's head on his lap and tried waking him up again.

"Viki… open your eyes…"

But Viki remained unconscious.

Seeing his pale face made Azaan panic completely.

Finally, unable to wait anymore, Azaan lifted Viki onto his back and started running toward the direction where the ambulance was supposed to arrive.

At that moment, the only thing in Azaan's mind was saving Viki.

Sometimes, we start caring about someone without even realizing it. Azaan tried to ignore the strange feeling in his heart, but every small thing about Viki kept pulling his attention back. The way Viki stayed quiet, the weakness in his eyes, even the way he walked alone—it all made Azaan worry more than he wanted to admit.

This chapter is not just about sickness. It is about the moment when concern slowly begins turning into something deeper.
