She sent him a message.

Something happened to Yun at the convenience store tonight.

Meanwhile, far away from Seoul—

Tae had just arrived in Busan with his men.

Several black cars slowly entered the underground parking area of a luxury hotel before finally stopping.

The moment Tae stepped out of the car, cold night air brushed past him.

Even though his expression remained calm—

His thoughts were still occupied by Yun.

Soon afterward, Tiger Gang members entered a private suite reserved for them for the next two days.

The room was large and expensive, but strangely—

It still felt cold and empty.

After briefly discussing tomorrow’s schedule with Kim Joo, Tae quietly went to shower.

Warm water poured down his body while exhaustion slowly settled into his muscles.

But no matter how much he tried—

His thoughts kept returning to Yun.

The bruise on his cheek.

His trembling voice.

And the disappointed expression he made before Tae left.

After finishing his shower, Tae stepped out while lazily drying his hair with a towel.

Just then—

His phone vibrated.

Tae glanced at the screen.

Min-Ji.

For some reason, uneasiness instantly settled inside his chest.

He immediately opened the message.

Something happened at the convenience store today.

Some people caused trouble with Yun.

He got scared and passed out.

Even after waking up, his body kept shaking badly.

I sent him home, made him eat something, and waited until he slept before leaving.

The moment Tae finished reading—

His entire body went still.

For a few seconds, he simply stared silently at the screen.

A heavy helplessness slowly tightened around his chest.

Right now—

He wasn’t beside Yun.

And this Busan trip was too important for Tiger Gang to abandon halfway.

His emotions became restless.

Frustration.

Worry.

Anger.

Everything mixed together inside him.

Tae slowly rubbed his forehead before finally replying shortly.

Take care of him for two days.

I’ll come back as soon as this business trip ends.

If anything happens again, tell me immediately.

After sending the message, Tae threw his phone onto the bed before quietly sitting down.

The room remained silent.

But inside his head—

Nothing felt calm.

That entire night, Tae failed to sleep properly.

Every time he closed his eyes—

He imagined Yun trembling alone.

And the thought irritated him endlessly.

By sunrise, Tae still hadn’t slept.

Dark shadows formed beneath his eyes from exhaustion.

Not long afterward, someone knocked on the suite door.

Kim Joo quietly entered the room.

“Boss,” he said respectfully, “it’s time to prepare for the White Wolf meeting.”

As Kim Joo stepped farther inside—

He immediately noticed the dark circles beneath Tae’s eyes.

For a brief second, surprise crossed his face.

“…What happened?”

Tae leaned back lazily against the chair before replying calmly,

“Nothing.”

Then after a short pause—

“I couldn’t sleep because of today’s meeting.”

Kim Joo silently looked at him.

He had seen Tae handle countless dangerous meetings before without losing sleep even once.

So he immediately understood—

That wasn’t the real reason.

But he didn’t ask further.

“…Understood,” he replied quietly before leaving the room.

A while later—

Several black cars stopped outside one of White Wolf’s private buildings deep within Busan.

The atmosphere surrounding the place already felt dangerous before entering.

Men dressed in black stood outside smoking quietly while silently watching Tiger Gang arrive.

Then finally—

Tae stepped out of the car.

The moment he entered the building with his men—

The atmosphere inside instantly turned silent.

The meeting hall was large and dark.

Dim lights reflected weakly against black walls while cigarette smoke lingered heavily in the cold air.

Several chairs and sofas were scattered throughout the room.

White Wolf members sat lazily in different corners while silently observing Tiger Gang’s arrival.

Some looked curious.

Others looked openly hostile.

Meanwhile—

Tae calmly walked deeper into the room.

Even without speaking, the pressure surrounding him alone made the atmosphere feel heavier.

Cold.

Intimidating.

Powerful.

Behind him, Kim Joo quietly followed while Kim Hyuk walked slightly farther back.

At the center of the room—

A man slowly leaned back against one of the sofas.

Seok Jin.

Leader of White Wolf.

The moment Tae approached—

Seok Jin slowly lifted his eyes toward him.

The two leaders sat face to face.

For a few seconds—

Nobody spoke.

Only silence filled the room.

Then finally, Seok Jin crossed one leg over the other before speaking calmly.

“So you’re Haan Tae.”

His sharp gaze slowly examined Tae from head to toe.

“I heard you’re still a college student.”

Several White Wolf members quietly smirked after hearing that.

Then Seok Jin continued,

“What exactly can a college student do?”

His eyes narrowed slightly.

“And how are you planning to handle our alliance?”

The moment Seok Jin mentioned the word alliance—

Kim Hyuk’s expression instantly stiffened.

Alliance?

Inside his mind, panic slowly appeared.

What the hell?

Did they really come here to form an alliance with White Wolf?

Why?

Meanwhile, Tae remained completely calm.

“…It’s okay,” he said quietly.

“You don’t need to trust us.”

Several White Wolf members slightly frowned after hearing that answer.

But Tae calmly continued,

“One thing is clear though.”

Slowly—

He lifted his eyes toward Seok Jin.

“Our goals are the same.”

The room became silent again.

Then Tae added quietly,

“We’re here to take down Black Dog together.”

The moment those words left his mouth—

Tae slowly turned his eyes toward Kim Hyuk.

For a brief second—

Their gazes met.

Kim Hyuk immediately felt cold sweat forming across his back.

That calm stare felt strangely terrifying.

Almost like Tae already knew everything.

But Kim Hyuk still forced himself to maintain eye contact.

Meanwhile, Seok Jin silently observed the strange tension between them.

Then Tae slowly looked back toward Seok Jin again.

“We’re not going to betray White Wolf.”

His voice remained calm.

“And if we do—”

A faint smile appeared on his lips.

“I’ll cut off my own head and place it on your table myself.”

The atmosphere inside the room instantly became heavier.

Several White Wolf members stopped smirking completely.

Then Tae calmly continued,

“You asked what a college student can do, right?”

He tilted his head slightly.

“…Do you want to see something interesting?”

Behind him, Kim Joo quietly lowered his gaze.

He already understood what was about to happen.

Meanwhile, the White Wolf members leaned forward slightly with growing curiosity.

Even Seok Jin’s expression sharpened with interest.

Then Tae slowly turned his head.

“Kim Hyuk.”

The moment his name echoed through the room—

Kim Hyuk’s heartbeat instantly became uneven.

Still, he slowly stepped forward.

Step.

Step.

Step.

The sound of his footsteps echoed heavily inside the dark hall.

Once he stopped in front of Tae—

Silence filled the room again.

Then Tae quietly spoke.

“Kneel.”

For a brief second, Kim Hyuk froze.

But under everyone’s eyes—

He slowly dropped onto his knees.

The moment he knelt down, sweat immediately formed across his forehead.

His hands trembled badly beside him.

His breathing became unstable.

Deep inside—

He already understood.

Tae knew.

Meanwhile, Seok Jin casually watched the scene with amusement.

“…What exactly are you planning to do?” he asked lazily.

One of the White Wolf members suddenly laughed.

“What now? Are you guys about to have sex in front of us or something?”

A few people laughed quietly across the room.

But Tae’s expression didn’t change at all.

Instead, he calmly replied,

“It’s something more interesting.”

That answer immediately caught Seok Jin’s attention.

Slowly—

Tae reached behind his back.

The atmosphere instantly tightened.

Several White Wolf members straightened slightly in their seats.

Then Tae calmly pulled out a gun.

Kim Hyuk’s face completely lost color.

Without hesitation—

Tae grabbed Kim Hyuk’s jaw tightly before forcing the gun into his mouth.

The room instantly fell silent.

Everyone’s expressions changed immediately.

“A spy?”

“What the hell?”

“Inside Tiger Gang?”

Whispers instantly spread throughout the room.

Meanwhile, Kim Hyuk’s entire body shook violently.

Tears slowly formed in his eyes as panic completely took over him.

“T-Tae… please…” he cried desperately around the gun. “Please don’t do this…”

His voice trembled badly.

“We grew up together… please…”

But Tae didn’t react at all.

His expression remained completely cold.

Instead, he asked again quietly,

“…Since when have you been working as a spy inside my father’s gang?”

Kim Hyuk continued shaking violently.

“Tae please… listen to me first…”

But Tae didn’t even bother listening anymore.

The colder his silence became—

The more terrifying the atmosphere inside the room felt.

Even some White Wolf members slowly stopped smiling.

For the first time—

A few of them actually felt nervous looking at Tae.

Then suddenly—

BANG.

The gunshot exploded violently throughout the hall.

Kim Hyuk screamed in agony as blood spread from his knee.

His body collapsed sideways onto the floor while clutching his leg desperately.

“Aaaagh—!”

But Tae showed no reaction.

Instead—

He pressed his foot directly against the wounded knee.

Hard.

Kim Hyuk screamed even louder.

“T-Tae—!”

“Speak.”

Tae’s voice remained terrifyingly calm.

Tears streamed down Kim Hyuk’s face from pain.

“I needed money!” he cried desperately. “Your uncle said he would help me! That’s why I did it!”

The moment the word uncle left his mouth—

The atmosphere inside the room changed instantly.

“…Uncle?”

“What the hell?”

“Black Dog is connected to Tiger Gang’s family?”

Whispers spread everywhere again.

Meanwhile—

Tae slowly pressed his foot down harder against the wound.

Kim Hyuk screamed painfully beneath him.

“You should’ve asked me for money instead,” Tae said quietly.

His eyes looked completely cold now.

“But you chose the wrong path.”

Then suddenly—

BANG.

The second gunshot echoed throughout the hall.

And Kim Hyuk’s body dropped lifelessly onto the floor.
