The second gunshot echoed violently throughout the hall.

And Kim Hyuk’s body dropped lifelessly onto the cold floor.

For a few seconds—

Nobody moved.

Nobody spoke.

The entire hall fell into complete silence.

Even the cigarette smoke lingering in the air seemed frozen.

Shock slowly spread across everyone’s faces.

They finally understood something clearly.

Han Tae was far more dangerous than they had imagined.

Not because he was loud.

Not because he threatened people constantly.

But because the moment he decided something—

He carried it out without hesitation.

Meanwhile, Tae calmly lowered the gun.

His expression remained emotionless.

Almost cold enough to make the room suffocate.

Seok Jin silently stared at Kim Hyuk’s dead body for a moment before slowly leaning back against the sofa.

Then finally—

A faint smile appeared on his lips.

“…Now I believe you.”

The White Wolf members quietly looked toward their leader.

Seok Jin’s sharp gaze slowly returned toward Tae.

“I trust Tiger Gang.”

Then his smile disappeared completely.

“But if you ever betray me—”

He lightly tapped the table beside him.

“I’ll still need your head on my desk.”

Tae calmly met his eyes without fear.

“I don’t say empty words.”

His voice remained low and steady.

“If I say something, I stand by it.”

For a brief second—

His eyes darkened slightly.

“That’s how my father raised me.”

The atmosphere inside the room became strangely heavier after hearing those words.

Meanwhile, blood slowly spread across the floor beneath Kim Hyuk’s body.

Without even glancing down, Tae spoke calmly,

“Kim Joo.”

Kim Joo immediately stepped forward.

“Yes, boss.”

“Take care of the body.”

Then after a short pause, Tae added quietly,

“And tell Father I handled it.”

Kim Joo lowered his head respectfully.

“Yes, boss. I’ll inform the Chairman.”

Meanwhile, Seok Jin suddenly stood up from the sofa.

“Tomorrow night,” he said while adjusting his coat, “we’re holding an alliance party.”

Several White Wolf members immediately started moving around after hearing that.

Seok Jin looked directly at Tae.

“A lot of important people are coming.”

His tone carried meaning.

“So make sure you attend.”

Tae slightly frowned internally.

Honestly—

He wanted to leave Busan immediately after finishing the meeting.

He wanted to return to Seoul.

To Yun.

But he already understood the situation.

If he skipped the alliance party right after forming an alliance—

People would think Tiger Gang was disrespecting White Wolf.

And unnecessary rumors would spread instantly.

So in the end—

Tae stayed.

The next morning—

Soft sunlight slowly entered Yun’s room through the curtains.

Yun slowly opened his eyes while staring blankly at the ceiling.

His fever had gone down slightly compared to yesterday.

But his body still felt weak and exhausted.

Just then—

His phone suddenly rang.

Yun slowly grabbed it before looking at the screen.

Min-Ji.

After answering the call, Min-Ji’s worried voice immediately came from the other side.

“Hello? Yun, are you okay now? How’s your fever?”

Yun slowly sat up while rubbing his tired eyes.

“…I’m okay now,” he replied softly.

“The fever got a little better.”

Only then did Min-Ji quietly sigh in relief.

“That’s good.”

For a brief moment, silence filled the call.

Then Yun quietly spoke again.

“…Thank you.”

Min-Ji blinked slightly.

“For what?”

“For taking care of me yesterday.”

His voice sounded genuinely thankful.

“If you weren’t there… I don’t know what would’ve happened.”

Min-Ji smiled softly without realizing it.

“It’s okay,” she replied casually. “If something happens again, call me. I’ll come.”

After saying that, she ended the call shortly afterward.

Yun slowly lowered the phone while staring quietly at the screen.

A small warmth settled inside his chest.

Even though so many painful things had happened in a single day—

At least someone still cared about him.

Then suddenly—

Tae appeared inside his mind again.

Yun lowered his gaze slightly before quietly murmuring to himself,

“…He’s probably still on his business trip.”

That entire day—

Yun skipped both college and evening work.

Instead, he simply stayed home resting quietly.

Meanwhile—

Far away in Busan—

Tae was getting ready for the alliance party.

After changing clothes, he quietly stepped out of the hotel suite with several Tiger Gang members following behind him.

Later that night—

The alliance party officially began.

The moment Tae entered the party hall with his men—

People immediately started looking toward him.

Conversations slowly became quieter.

Eyes followed him everywhere.

And honestly—

It wasn’t surprising.

Tae wore an entirely black suit that perfectly matched his intimidating presence.

His long dark hair was tied into a slightly messy bun, making him look both dangerous and strangely elegant.

Under the dim party lights—

His rare green eyes stood out sharply.

Cold.

Heavy.

Unforgettable.

Naturally—

People couldn’t stop staring.

The moment Tae entered farther into the hall, Seok Jin immediately approached him.

“You came,” he said with a satisfied smile.

Then Seok Jin started introducing Tae to several important people attending the alliance party.

Eventually—

He brought Tae toward another group.

“The Black Crow Gang,” Seok Jin introduced calmly.

Tae slightly bowed his head respectfully toward the man standing in front of him.

“Hello. I’m Han Tae.”

“Leader of Tiger Gang.”

The Black Crow leader calmly nodded back.

A middle-aged man with an overwhelming presence.

Dojin.

Then Seok Jin suddenly smiled while speaking proudly.

“I used to work under Black Crow before creating White Wolf.”

He glanced toward Dojin respectfully.

“Dojin-hyung helped me build my own gang from the beginning.”

His voice became sincere.

“If I’m standing here today, it’s because of him.”

Tae quietly listened before nodding once.

“It’s an honor to meet you, sir.”

Dojin looked at Tae silently for a moment before giving a faint smile.

“You’re different from the rumors.”

Then he slowly handed Tae a business card.

“If you ever need help in the future, contact me.”

Tae accepted the card politely.

“Thank you.”

Soon afterward, Dojin left to greet other guests.

Meanwhile, Seok Jin continued introducing Tae to several more influential people throughout the party.

After all the greetings finally ended—

Tae quietly walked toward Kim Joo near the drinks table.

Kim Joo immediately noticed the exhausted look on Tae’s face.

“Is everything fine, boss?”

Tae grabbed a glass before replying shortly,

“…Everything’s fine.”

But even while saying that—

His expression still looked irritated and tired.

Kim Joo immediately understood.

Tae wanted to leave Busan as quickly as possible.

But neither of them could do anything about it right now.

So Kim Joo stayed silent.

Meanwhile, Tae suddenly rubbed his forehead tiredly.

“I’ll be back.”

Then he quietly walked toward the restroom alone.

Not far away—

One old  man silently watched Tae leave by himself.

Then slowly—

He followed after him.

Inside the restroom—

Tae washed his hands quietly before splashing cold water onto his face.

For a brief second, he closed his eyes while breathing slowly.

The exhaustion.

The irritation.

Everything was starting to pile up.

Just then—

Someone beside him suddenly spoke.

“You’re the Tiger Gang leader, right?”

Tae slowly lifted his head before glancing sideways.

“…Yes.”

The man smiled strangely while staring directly at Tae’s face.

“I heard you’re still a college student.”

Tae already looked uncomfortable.

Still, he replied shortly.

“Yes.”

The man’s eyes slowly darkened with obvious interest while looking Tae up and down.

Then slowly—

He moved closer.

Too close.

Tae’s expression immediately hardened.

But before Tae could step back—

The man suddenly touched him inappropriately while whispering shamelessly,

“You’re really hot.”

His voice sounded disgusting.

“I want you to fill me up.”

A grin spread across his face.

“There’s a hotel nearby.”

“Let’s go have a blissful night until morning…”

At that moment—

The last bit of Tae’s patience snapped.

He was already irritated from being stuck in Busan.

Already exhausted.

Already stressed about Yun.

And now—

Some disgusting bastard was touching me.

Instantly—

Tae grabbed the man by the neck and slammed him hard against the wall.

THUD.

The man choked in shock as Tae lifted him slightly upward.

Tae’s green eyes looked terrifyingly cold.

“If you touch me like that again—”

His grip tightened harder.

“I’ll cut your dick into pieces.”

The man’s face instantly turned pale.

“And I’ll kill you, bastard.”

Then Tae violently threw him away.

The man immediately stumbled backward before running out of the restroom in complete fear.

A few minutes later—

The alliance party finally ended.

At last—

Tae could finally leave Busan.

He immediately walked toward Kim Joo.

“I’m leaving first.”

Kim Joo nodded calmly.

“We’ll come afterward, boss.”

Without wasting another second—

Tae quickly left in his car.

Even though important office work still waited for him—

Tae ignored everything.

Instead—

He drove directly toward Seoul.

Toward Yun.

Late at night—

Tae’s car finally stopped outside Yun’s house.

Inside the house, Yun slowly heard the sound of a car stopping nearby.

Confused, he quietly stood up before walking toward the door.

Then slowly—

He stepped outside.

And the moment Yun lifted his eyes—

He froze slightly.

Because standing there—

Was Tae.
