The one i should avoid

The Happiness You Gave Me

The Happiness You Gave Me

May 21, 2026

He stepped outside.

And the moment Yun lifted his eyes—

He froze slightly.

Because standing there—

Was Tae.

Before Yun could even say anything—

Tae suddenly walked forward quickly and wrapped his arms tightly around him.

The warmth of the hug instantly surrounded Yun.

Strong.

Desperate.

Comforting.

Yun’s eyes widened slightly before he slowly hugged Tae back.

His fingers unconsciously grabbed the back of Tae’s shirt tightly.

Almost like he didn’t want him to disappear again.

Tae lowered his head onto Yun’s shoulder and quietly spoke in a tired voice.

“…I missed you.”

His arms tightened slightly around Yun.

“I missed you a lot More than I thought I would.”

Hearing those words made Yun’s heartbeat become uneven instantly.

Then Tae quietly mumbled again,

“And I’m so exhausted because of all the work…”

He sounded genuinely drained.

“…Can I sleep here ?”

Yun hesitated for a second before quietly nodding.

“…Okay.”

A small smile appeared on Tae’s face immediately.

After entering the house, Tae washed his face and legs in the bathroom while Yun searched for clothes for him to wear.

The clothes ended up slightly oversized on Tae—

But strangely, it suited him perfectly.

Afterward, Yun quietly looked toward the small bed.

“I’ll sleep on the ground,” he said softly. “You sleep on the bed.”

But Tae immediately frowned.

“No.”

Then without hesitation, he added,

“Let’s sleep together.”

Yun blinked.

“…The bed is small.”

Tae lazily climbed onto the bed anyway.

“It’s okay.”

Then he looked directly at Yun.

“Come here.”

Eventually—

The two of them lay down together on the small bed.

At first, Yun tried keeping some distance.

But the moment Tae wrapped his arm around him from behind—

Yun’s entire body stiffened slightly.

Tae quietly buried his face near Yun’s neck while closing his eyes tiredly.

The warmth between them slowly filled the small room.

After a while—

Yun slowly turned around.

Now they were facing each other closely.

Close enough to hear each other breathing.

Close enough to feel each other’s heartbeat.

Without realizing it—

Both of them slowly moved closer until they were quietly hugging each other again.

The silence between them felt peaceful.

Comfortable.

Then suddenly, Tae spoke softly.

“Yun.”

“…Hm?”

“You have café work tomorrow, right?”

Yun nodded slightly.

“…Can you skip it for one day?”

Yun looked confused.

“Why?”

A small smile appeared on Tae’s lips.

“Let’s go to an amusement park tomorrow.”

For a few seconds—

Yun simply stared at him quietly.

Then slowly—

He nodded.

“…Okay.”

Tae smiled faintly before lifting one hand toward Yun’s face.

His fingers gently touched Yun’s cheek.

Then softly—

Tae kissed Yun’s forehead.

After that—

He leaned slightly closer and placed another gentle kiss near one of Yun’s eyes.

The moment Tae pulled back slightly—

His thumb slowly rubbed beneath Yun’s eye softly.

Carefully.

Like Yun was something precious.

Both of their hearts instantly started beating wildly.

Like drums echoing inside the quiet room.

Neither of them knew what to say anymore.

So instead—

They simply held each other closer.

And slowly fell asleep together.

The next morning—

Tae woke up first.

After quietly getting out of bed, he went into the kitchen and started making breakfast.

Bread.

Half-boiled eggs.

Roasted sausages.

The entire small house slowly filled with the warm smell of food.

Meanwhile—

Yun slowly woke up and instinctively looked around the room.

For a second, he thought Tae had already left.

But the moment he walked into the hall—

He froze.

Tae was standing in the kitchen cooking.

Morning sunlight lightly reflected against his black hair while his sleeves were rolled up casually.

For some reason—

The scene felt strangely domestic.

Peaceful.

Then Tae suddenly turned around.

The moment he saw Yun standing there with messy hair and sleepy eyes—

He burst into laughter.

“This is the first time I’ve seen you this messy.”

Yun immediately frowned slightly.

“…Sorry if I look messy.”

He rubbed his hair awkwardly.

“This is just my morning face.”

But Tae walked closer while smiling softly.

“I think your morning look is even cuter than your college look.”

Then after staring at Yun for another second, he quietly added,

“I want to see you like this every day.”

The moment those words left Tae’s mouth—

Yun’s ears instantly turned red.

His heart started pounding loudly again.

Meanwhile, Tae simply smiled like he enjoyed watching Yun get embarrassed.

Afterward—

The two of them quietly ate breakfast together.

Even the silence between them felt comfortable now.

Then after eating, Tae stood up and grabbed his car keys.

“I’ll go home and get ready first,” he said.

Then he looked at Yun.

“I’ll come pick you up after that.”

“…Okay.”

“Until then, you get ready too.”

Yun quietly nodded.

Soon afterward—

Tae left Yun’s house.

When Tae arrived home—

He immediately saw his father sitting in the living room reading a newspaper.

The moment Tae saw him—

He instantly felt irritated.

Especially because he already knew what was about to happen.

Tae immediately tried walking upstairs silently.

But unfortunately—

His father noticed him.

“Aww— my baby’s back!”

Tae's father immediately stood up dramatically.

“Come here and give your dad a small kiss—”

Before he could finish—

Tae instantly ran upstairs toward his room.

“Absolutely not.”

Meanwhile, his father loudly complained downstairs while Tae ignored him completely.

Inside the bathroom—

Warm water poured down Tae’s body during his shower.

And without realizing it—

A small smile slowly appeared on his face.

Just thinking about yesterday with Yun made him strangely relaxed.

After showering, Tae quickly got dressed.

Black hoodie.

Long black coat.

Black cargo pants.

Black sneakers.

His hair was half-tied loosely, while several dark strands naturally fell near his eyes.

Clean.

Stylish.

Dangerous.

The kind of appearance that made people stare without realizing it.

Meanwhile—

Back at Yun’s house—

Yun was getting ready too.

For the first time in a long while—

He actually felt excited for the day.

After showering, he searched through his closet for nice clothes.

But slowly—

His expression dimmed.

He didn’t really own anything special.

Most of his life was just college, work, and home.

He rarely went outside for fun.

Rarely hung out with friends.

So in the end—

He simply wore a plain white t-shirt and blue jeans.

While looking at himself in the mirror, Yun quietly lowered his eyes.

…Tae might get disappointed after seeing me.

Still—

He quietly waited outside for Tae.

Then finally—

A black car slowly stopped nearby.

And the moment Tae stepped out—

Yun completely forgot how to breathe.

Tae looked unreal.

Like someone who walked out of a movie scene.

The black clothes perfectly matched his sharp appearance while the loose strands of hair near his eyes made him look effortlessly attractive.

Anyone would stare at him.

Anyone would fall for him.

Without realizing it—

Yun’s heartbeat became louder.

Meanwhile, Tae calmly walked toward him before opening the car door.

“Get in.”

Yun quietly got inside and sat beside the driver’s seat while Tae closed the door afterward.

Soon—

Tae entered from the other side and started the car.

The moment the engine started, silence slowly filled the space between them.

Meanwhile, Yun sat quietly while staring outside the window.

For some reason—

Being beside Tae today made him feel strangely awkward.

Uncomfortable.

Tae immediately noticed.

“…Why are you silent?”

Then he frowned slightly.

“Are you uncomfortable or something?”

Yun looked away awkwardly before speaking honestly.

“…No.”

Then quietly—

“I just think I look bad.”

Tae looked confused immediately.

“You look good.”

But Yun shook his head softly.

“You look so good…”

His voice became quieter.

“…You look like an angel that fell from heaven.”

For a brief second—

Tae genuinely didn’t know how to react.

Then suddenly—

He laughed softly.

“No.”

He leaned slightly closer while smiling.

“You look good too.”

Then casually—

“Even without clothes, you’d still look good.”

Yun’s eyes widened immediately.

“…Pervert.”

Tae grinned shamelessly.

“I’m serious.”

“You’d look good in anything.”

Then after another pause—

“With or without clothes.”

Yun instantly covered his face slightly.

“Pervert.”

Tae laughed quietly while driving the car.

Before going to the amusement park—

Tae suddenly stopped near a large shopping mall.

Yun looked confused.

“…Why are we here?”

Instead of answering—

Tae simply dragged him inside.

Soon afterward—

Tae started picking clothes for Yun himself.

Sweatshirts.

Jackets.

Cargo pants.

Sneakers.

Meanwhile, Yun looked horrified after seeing the prices.

“Tae, no.”

“These are too expensive.”

But Tae completely ignored him.

“Try this.”

Yun still refused awkwardly.

But after Tae kept insisting—

He eventually gave up and tried them on.

And every single time Yun walked out wearing different clothes—

Tae stared at him silently for a few seconds before immediately saying,

“We’re buying that too.”

By the end—

Tae bought almost everything Yun tried.

For the amusement park, Yun ended up wearing a half-white sweatshirt layered with a white jacket, black cargo pants, and white sneakers.

Meanwhile—

Tae had unknowingly picked matching colors for himself too.

But Yun didn’t notice at all.

Then suddenly—

Tae pulled out his phone and stood beside Yun in front of a mirror.

Before Yun could react—

Tae casually placed one arm around his shoulder and took a picture.

Click.

Yun immediately became embarrassed.

But Tae looked weirdly satisfied.

Soon afterward—

The two of them finally arrived at the amusement park.

The moment they entered—

People immediately started staring.

Because honestly—

They looked less like normal people and more like celebrities or models.

At one point, a random guy even approached Tae nervously.

“Excuse me… can I get a picture with you?”

Tae blinked before replying calmly,

“I’m not a celebrity.”

Then politely—

“We came here to enjoy ourselves, so can you leave us alone?”

The guy awkwardly apologized before leaving irritably.

Meanwhile, Tae casually bought matching headbands for both of them.

Yun immediately looked embarrassed.

“…Do we really need to wear these?”

Tae nodded seriously.

“Yes.”

“We need them to enjoy properly.”

Then before Yun could refuse—

Tae placed one on Yun’s head.

Afterward, Tae happily took another picture of them together.

The entire day—

They went on rides together.

Played games together.

Won prizes together.

Tae even bought matching keychains that strangely looked similar to them.

And at one point—

He secretly bought a teddy bear for Yun too.

When Yun asked why—

Tae casually replied,

“So when you feel lonely, you can hug this and sleep.”

Yun instantly became speechless again.

By nighttime—

Only one ride remained.

The Ferris wheel.

Both of them quietly entered together.

Slowly—

The wheel carried them higher and higher above the city lights.

Then eventually—

It stopped at the very top.

The entire city sparkled beautifully beneath them.

For a moment—

Yun simply stared outside in silence.

His eyes slowly reflected the lights below.

Then quietly—

He spoke.

“…It’s beautiful.”

But after saying that—

Yun slowly turned toward Tae.

And softly added,

“But honestly…”

His voice trembled slightly.

“…Looking at your face right now feels even more beautiful.”

Tae froze slightly.

Meanwhile, Yun smiled weakly while tears slowly formed in his eyes.

“I’ve never experienced anything like this before.”

His voice became quieter.

“Today… everything felt new to me.”

“The rides.”

“The games.”

“The pictures.”

“The happiness.”

Yun looked directly at Tae while smiling emotionally.

“…Thank you, Tae.”

“Thank you for giving me today.”

The moment Tae saw Yun smiling with tears in his eyes—

Something inside him completely softened.

Slowly—

Tae stood up.

Then leaned toward Yun.

And gently kissed him on lips .
