There was nothing for the five to be informed of, so the organization quickly dispatched the five agents—as ordered by R—wasting no time.
From Canada's headquarters, located in Ottawa, they traveled via helicopter to Toronto, where the supposed Smith residence was located.
Transported by the helicopter, carrying the five and the four high-ranking agents, they arrived at the destined village.
The view from the sky left the newly appointed Smiths doubting their place, especially as low-ranking agents.
The village was shiny, gold, luxurious, and formative. And it shocked them that the village had its own helicopter landing pad.
As the Smiths unloaded themselves, they immediately went into stealth mode and scanned the area, worried about eyewitnesses.
"It's fine," Proxima said nonchalantly. "This is a village for the wealthy and powerful. It'd be out of the norm if we didn't arrive in a helicopter."
"For the rest of your lives, or until the mission ends, this village called Golden Pillar Heights will be your village," R declared.
Though only observing from outside, in the entrance, the Smiths couldn't help but compare the grand manifestation of the house and the conference room they were in just moments ago.
R turned to the group, satisfied as he observed them; their unappealing demeanor of uncomfortability and tension appeared to have vanished, and their comfortable postures and relaxed facial expressions felt fresh.
It must be an aftereffect of the helicopter ride. R internalizes.
R felt the agents quietly standing there waiting for him to enter the house, immediately snapping him out of reminiscing.
"To fully immerse yourself in the role of the wealthy family that you are now, each of you will get a card," R announced, signaling Tract to hand the cards to the group. "The organization has created a custom card that allows you to buy any item, even if your balance is nonexistent."
"Staring now, your mission officially begins," R declared.
"As the head of civil affairs, I have already transferred your occupations here," Attara announced.
"The organization has already placed the trigger's sleeping body in one of the two rooms on the third floor, so someone needs to take the second room," Tract noted.
"Felix will do it!" Iris and Alex simultaneously exclaimed.
"Great! You two will take the second-floor rooms, and the parents will take the master bedroom on the first floor," Tract replied.
"You will need to erase the organization's trace from your life, meaning you need to dispose of the organization's clothes and masks," R advised the group. "Each of your rooms has a closet filled with clothes. Change into your new set of clothes and come back here."
As they changed into their new clothes, they made it back to the dining room one by one.
Felix, whose room was on the third floor, was the last person to make it back. There, he found no trace of the Cerberus or the boss, only the confused looks of the four agents.
They didn't mutter any words, just silence. It was only then that Alex silently handed a note with a written message on it to Felix.
You will probably have two years to practice pretending to be a family. The organization leaves this card as a farewell and a symbol of gratitude for you five agents. Felix internalizes as he reads the note.
"Alright!" Isla Smith—the mother—exclaimed, grabbing the card from Felix. "The village has its own nearby store, so let's fill this house up with supplies and foods or whatever your kids want.
They ventured into the house's one-car garage, holding onto the tablet that Isla found in the master bedroom, which contained the map of the house and specific household instructions.
Through the instructions on the tablet, Theo Smith—the father—unveiled the underground garage using the tablet that Isla handed to him.
"Shit... This is a garage. " Alex stared at the space in disbelief. "This is a house itself.".
The view of the garage and the multiple kinds of vehicles that occupied it stunned them; only now did they realize the severity and importance of the mission.
The family grabbed the jeep, quickly dismissing their realization as they headed towards the village's own store.
And in just about two hours, the family bought the house's needs as well as their own respective needs and wants.
Given their roles, Theo and Isla took it upon themselves as the parents to advise their supposed children to handle and unload their own purchased belongings while they handled the purchased house necessities.
Iris and Alex, determined to unload their purchased items, hastily unloaded and set them up in their respective rooms without taking a break.
Though the same could not be said for Felix. After all, the items Felix brought were just necessities; the only item he did not think he would need was a television—a purchase pressured by Iris and Alex's decision to buy one.
On the balcony on the third floor, accessible by two entrances—the door in the hallway and beyond the glass door in Ley's room—Felix smoked, taking a break and enjoying the breeze after unloading his purchased items.
Hm. I wonder what he looks like. Felix wondered, turning his head at the glass door of Ley's room.
His curiosity increased, spacing out as he stared at the glass door covered by the full-length curtains behind it, trying to get a peek of the trigger, not realizing that the cigarette burns fell through his fingers, burning him.
Oh. Felix said nonchalantly, brushing the cigarette burns off his hand as he snapped him out of his spaciness.
As he remembered no explicit order instructing him that he couldn't take a look and assumed that others were still busy unloading their purchased items, Felix decided it was okay to look for a brief second.
Felix quietly opened the unlocked glass door and sneakily shoved the curtains to the side—despite knowing that the trigger is asleep—revealing Ley on the bed, peacefully sleeping.
A minute quickly passed, and Felix's curiosity was satisfied seeing the trigger's appearance, though he couldn't figure out the reason behind it.
He instantly dismissed the thought and exited the room using the room's door. Though faint, a feeling of dissatisfaction bothered him just as he was about to leave the room.
But again, he dismissed the feeling, closing the room's door from outside. And once again, darkness filled Ley's room.
