Alright! It's September 1 and six thirty in the morning, which means today's the first day of school. Ley exclaims, waking up from his sleep.

After waking up, Felix and Ley immediately went downstairs to dine together with the family for their routine breakfast.

As Mrs. Smith filled the kitchen and the dining table with the delicious smell of her amazing pancakes, the family ate their breakfast.

"So, are you excited for school?" Mrs. Smith turns to Ley, enthusiastically asking him.

"Definitely, Mrs. Smith," Ley answered confidently.

"The bus will arrive at our house at seven fifteen, so you guys prepare quickly after your breakfast," Mrs. Smith said informatively as she focused her gaze on Ley.

After eating their breakfast, Felix immediately started his day like usual. Fixing his morning hair, eating breakfast, showering, and then putting on his uniform.

Okay... I'm done taking a bath, which even though I don't need because of my powers, I still do because it's like therapy to me. Ley exhales. And my hair is always going to be messy, so I don't need to fix it, or should I? I mean... messy hair looks good on me, so it's fine if I didn't.

Wow... Is this what it feels like to be a skinny bitch? I look hot, and my body image insecurity just killed itself off. Ley exclaimed as he stared at the mirror. Damn! I look good in this uniform.

As time approached seven fifteen, Ley and Felix immediately went outside to wait for their school bus.

"You look sharp," Felix said nonchalantly.

"Thanks," Ley replied, embracing the cool breeze of the morning as he waited outside with Felix.

"So... do you have a usual seat in the bus?" Ley asked curiously.

"At the back," Felix answered flatly.

"I see," Ley responded.

The tone of his voice changed... He's like a soul-less robot now. Ley observed as their conversation ended with the bus coming into view. Oh. It's already here.

Felix confidently took the lead for Ley as he stepped first inside the bus, while Ley was stunned at the sight of the bus' luxuriousness.

"Huh... It's empty," Ley said confusedly, standing in the hallway of the bus as he stared at the empty seats in front of him.

"We're the first house the bus hits," Felix replied.

"Makes... sense..." Ley said doubtfully.

"Sit here in the back with me," Felix offers.

"No, thanks... I should sit here in the middle seats," Ley declines. "Because the back is reserved just for you and your friends, anyway. Am I right?"

"You could say that," Felix answered.

After the bus left the Smith household, wealthy children from different rich households overtook the bus one by one.

"Who's that sleeping kid?" Mikay quietly asks Felix, pointing at Ley, after boarding the bus.

"That's the foster I told you about at the summer party," Felix whispers.

"Oh, wow... sleeping on this bus, huh?" Mikay remarked. "I'm not sure whether to call that bold or stupid."

"That's a bold move I like!" Jay quietly exclaims as he stands in front of Felix and Mikay. "So, do you guys have any idea who that sleeping dude is?"

"Foster," Felix answered.

"Oooh... but I'm still not used to you talking and not just nodding," Jay remarked. "Huh... should we invite the dude to our circle? I mean... he's a Smith by association."

"I don't think he wants that," Felix answered.

"How would you know?" Mikay asked confusedly, staring at Felix.

"Yeah, dude... How would YOU know?" Jay matched Mikay's confused stare, closely leaning forward towards Felix's face.

"He kind of implied it," Felix answered. "I mean, he told me he wanted to experience the school without any prior knowledge, that's all."

"Just plain stupid after all," Mikay said disappointedly. "That attitude would have been better in any school except this one."

"Damn. He's a really bold person," Jay expressed his awe. "But, yeah. It's stupid of him not to learn anything about our school."

After their conversation ended, the bus later became filled, student by student, but even though the numbers crowded the bus, the seats surrounding the sleeping Ley remained empty.

Mikay, who had always been bothered by the noise that the students in the bus made, focused her gaze on Ley.

"He's still asleep even after being surrounded by noisy shitheads," Mikay voiced her awe and irritation. "I thought I'd feel guilty seeing him peacefully sleep, but seeing him just makes me jealous."

"Then sleep, hoe," Jay bantered.

"It'll ruin my rep, dumbass," Mikay bantered back.

"Who cares?" Jay said dismissively. "Well... unless you're an ugly sleeper, do us a favor and never sleep."

Jay laughed as he made the joke, making Mikay grin and giving him a playful slap on his chest, while Felix silently sat near them.

The bus stopped on its tracks in front of the school parking lot as it arrived at Goltear Academy at seven thirty in the morning.

"We're here; shouldn't you wake him up?" Mikay whispers, leaning towards Felix.

Felix paused at Mikay's instruction but hesitated after the students in front of them bombarded the trio with stares as they waited for the three—Felix, Mikay, and Jay—to exit the bus.

Oh, my god!!! The bus finally stopped moving! I thought my powers would remove my motion sickness, but I guess not? It just made it worse because of how fast my thoughts are... Ley tilted his head upwards. Alright! Let's exit this bus before I throw up. If that's even going to happen, hehe.

Ley stood up from his seat and immediately got out of his section and exited the bus, though he observed that nobody had unboarded the bus before him.

The students on the bus stared at Ley from the moment he stood until he exited the bus. And as he finally stepped outside, they immediately shifted their gazes back to the three—Felix, Mikay, and Jay—who was sitting at the back.

All of them gave the trio scared stares, terrified of the reaction to Ley being the first one to leave the bus before them.

But the trio clearly had no issue with it since he's a Smith by association, so they unbotheredly exited the bus after Ley.

Wow... This place is infinitely better than what I unrealistically expected... Ley stared in awe of the surroundings as he entered the school. I don't know how to get to the classroom... I should just follow Felix since we're in the same class anyway.

Oh? They must be the popular kids in this school if everybody's looking at them as they walk. Ley observed as he followed the three entering the student-filled, spacious hallway of the school. But is it weird that I also feel stares at me as I walk? That's... kind of uncomfortable.

There it is! Classroom Gold Star. The name is low-key cringe and funny. Ley snickers before entering the room. Hmm... assuming anything based on surface-level information can be fun, but... it's more fun if I can predict them.

Mikay noticed that Ley was following them, so she stopped Felix and Jay, who was about to enter the room.

"Wait, look," Mikay whispers, guiding the two's gazes on Ley who was standing outside the classroom.

Felix and Jay wanted to observed Ley so they complied in silence, waiting to see what Ley would do next.

Oh... This room is too luxurious compared to any classroom I've ever entered. Ley expressed his awe as he observed the room. There are only twenty chairs... five chairs each in four rows.

Alright! Let's take the right last row seat. Ley exclaims as he takes the seat. It should be fine, right? The seats aren't arranged anyway.

Comfortable in his seat, Ley admired the outside scenario through the windows in his left view, seeing no other students or teachers inside the room.

The students outside, who waited for Felix, Mikay, and Jay to enter the classroom, watched as Ley sat on Felix' supposed seat.

Shit. Mikay and Jay panicked, feeling an uneasy sensation as they observed Ley sit at the seat that had always been for Felix.

In the moments they stood there frozen, they remembered the terrifying glares Felix always gave to students who accidentally sat on his seat.

"Fuck, he took your seat," Mikay said uncharacteristically. "I'll go tell him quick."

Felix always needed to have that specific seat, and he's always made sure that everyone knew that, even himself.

It's just a seat, something not that trivial to bother Ley, the trigger, about. Ley reminded himself.

"It's fine," Felix said assuringly. "I'll just take the seat next to him."

A soft spot, huh? Mikay's and Jay's minds linked for a second, hearing Felix's unbothered attitude towards Ley.

After Felix, Mikay, and Jay eventually sat on their seats, the room later became filled with students.

As eight o'clock hits, it's time. The first-period teacher entered the room, quickly spotting Ley sitting on what was supposed to be Felix's seat.

"Good morning, class. I'll be your English period teacher, Mr. Mendoza." Mr. Mendoza introduced himself.

If Mr. Smith himself didn't apprehend that boy, then who am I to? Mr. Mendoza pauses in front of the class, thinking. After all, the Smiths hold more power than mere staff of this school.

After deciding not to confront Ley about the seating matter, Mr. Mendoza went on to his lecture, starting with the subject's syllabus, which outlines the teaching objectives as well as the study materials incorporated.

Well... That was a boring lecture. Not because Sir Mendoza was a boring teacher, but because I had already learned the syllabus. Ley sighed as the first period ended. But this is something I'm still not used to, though. Since I could never really see or hear the teacher and their presentations at the front due to my eyes and bad hearing.

He seemed attentive during class; maybe I should be too. Felix decides after observing Ley. I don't need to always focus my attention on Ley.

Before the next teachers arrived at the room, Mr. Mendoza had already informed the teachers via group chat, detailing the boy who sat on Felix's seat.

From then on, the time quickly passed. Though students inside the classroom would beg to differ due to how boring the lectures can get.

Ley had already memorized all the teachers and the time of their classes since it was just a period of only an hour.

Mr. Mendoza of English teaches from eight to nine in the morning. Then Ms. Micia of Science, Mr. Renaud of Communications, and Ms. Denmae of Math. Then lunch period at twelve noon.

Felix wanted to offer Ley to eat with the group so that he could give him the usual large amount of portions he needs but hesitated, fearing his interaction with him would bring more attention to Ley.

"Hey, dude. You coming?" Jay asked the stunned Felix, who was still sitting as he stared into Ley.

In the end, Felix, Mikay, and Jay arrived at the cafeteria, finding themselves at the end of a long line where students lined up for the school's food counter.

They remained unbothered by the lengthy queue, not because they didn't mind waiting, but because they knew they could bypass the line and cut directly to the food counter for immediate service.

Every student in the line watched as the three went their way up to the very start of the line, ordering their food orders. But the food counter attendant already knew the three's orders.

Today's Athlete's Choice for Felix. A bowl of a meal fixed with a quinoa and sweet potato mix as its base, grilled chicken breast for protein, broccoli, shredded carrots, and a half avocado for veggies, and a light drizzle of sesame-ginger vinaigrette as its dressing.

A Model's Choice for Mikay. A salad of shredded kale, grilled shrimp, cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, a quarter avocado, freshly squeezed lemon juice on top, and a pinch of sea salt.

And a special bowl named after Jay for him called Jay's Choice, which is basically a combination of the current athlete's choice and model's choice.

Ooh... The three must be really popular if they could just cut in line. Ley watched the three get their orders and sit at a table. Oof... lowkey sucks I'm at the end of the line, hehe. But I blame myself because I had to follow the three first before I was able to get here.

"Hey, is your classroom the Gold Star?" The person in front of Ley turned to him, asking.

Despite Ley's power to think fast, all he could do in that situation was nod towards the person who abruptly asked him a question.

"You should go straight at the start of the line," the person advises Ley.

What...? It's already rude enough to cut in front of someone, yet he wants me to cut in front of these multiple people?! Ley hesitated.

"Come, I'll take you." A female voice behind Ley spoke, grabbing his left arm to cling on. "I'm also in Gold Star, a classmate of yours."

The stares and attention he got from walking up to the counter were quite uncomfortable for Ley but he found it tolerable because of a girl clinging to his arm, guiding him.

"Model's Choice, please." The girl beside Ley politely requested at the attendant.

"Uhh... is it possible to get Athlete's Choice?" Ley asked. "But in ten portions?"

He's got an appetite! The students who heard Ley internally gasp, unable to express their shock in their faces, avoid offending a Gold Star student.

But even when their shock slips through the cracks and appears in their demeanor. Ley was unable to see them, busy seeing the delicious-looking food in front of him.
