Ley kept his smile and calm attitude despite feeling an instant shift of attitude because it was the polite way to interact with someone you just met.

The idea of someone being able to telepathically communicate with another person has always sounded incredible for Ley, but upon experiencing the end of it, he felt as if someone had perverted his mind.

"Always be kind and nice to people." An engraved motto Ley learned and applied to his everyday, yet his belief toward it briefly falter as he wanted to tell Joshua off in the telepathic communication he was forced to participate in.

He probably has a good reason that justifies why he communicated with me this way. Ley reasoned as he calmed himself.

"Please don't do that," Ley calmly told Joshua.

"He passed the test," Joshua smiled, turning to everyone as he informed them.

"That means you're one of us," Jia stepped forward, telling Ley. "But we can't talk here. Would you follow us to the Weird Club?"

Ley agreed, silently nodding his answer to Jia. Though he followed the group, nothing but silence and footstep paved the way as they trailed the gorgeous hallways of the school to get to the Weird Club's room.

The group entered the room, then Ley, bombarding him with a spacious area with a round table at the center with seven chairs, each designed with a lengthy backrest.

"This is a safe space for people like us," Jia says, locking the door after noticing that everyone is inside the room. "Let's sit first before we talk."

Ley knew he was a weird person or a weirdo and observed that the people in front of him also saw themselves as weirdos, but they were being too vague with him, and that made him deeply curious as to why.

In order to find out why, he had to take a risk. So, Ley calmed himself, made his thumb and middle finger collide, filling the silence of the room with the echoing sound of his snap.

In a single action, the chairs of the round table became slightly elevated from the floor and were instantly yet smoothly pulled away by Ley's telekinetic ability.

Ley observed the group's reaction toward the spectacle he just performed, yet they remained unfazed by it.

"Now, let's sit," Ley declares.

"Telekinesis. Nice power," Jia turned to Ley, immediately complimenting him.

"Thanks," Ley said happily.

The six sat on the respective seats at the round table that they knew to sit at, but Ley didn't, so he figured to wait until all of them were seated.

It was clear now to see which seat would be his. In Ley's perspective, Jia, Rain, and Joshua sat on the left, while Rui, Sean, and Xander occupied the right.

"So... what are everybody's powers?" Ley said curiously.

"Hmm... How about you guess?" Jia replied.

"Okay," Ley said casually as he immediately gathered his thoughts, figuring out which powers the group has.

"You, Jia, have enhanced cognition. Rain manipulates water. Joshua is a telepath. Rui is able to replicate paper. Sean can create clones. And Xander turns invisible," Ley said, turning his gaze, trying to get a reaction from each of them. "So... how'd I do?'

Silence was the only response they could give to Ley, aside from the shocked and amazed faces they visibly expressed on their seats.

"Sorry for the surprised faces," Jia apologizes. "We just didn't expect you to get close or even precisely guess some of our powers."

"Do you want to know how I guessed them correctly?" Ley said confidently.

"Sure," Jia answered.

"The smartest student in the entire school is you, Jia Czarina, but no one pays attention because intelligence isn't what matters here," Ley said. "Then I merely based my guess off of Rain's name."

"Joshua, who just telepathically communicated with me earlier, so there's that," Ley remarked, now turning to Rui. "I also remember a famous comic artist on Twitter named Rui who can independently produce thousands of comics fast, and that's the reason he got into the school. Also, great Twitter takes, by the way."

"And I have seen Sean at every corner of my periphery who appears to be watching me," Ley mentioned. "The same goes for Xander, who has been following me since I arrived."

"Wow," Jia said surprisedly. "You were correct about Joshua, Rui, Sean, and Xander but a little off about me and Rain."

"So... what are your powers?" Ley asked. "Don't tell me they're accelerated thoughts and water generation."

"You had two guesses each for us, huh?" Jia exhales. "And sorry about the stalking. Headmaster Grimm told us to do it."

"Headmaster Grimm?" Ley expressed his confusion and curiosity, unfamiliar with who Jia was referring to.

"He's sort of the leader of our kind," Jia explained. "You could meet him tomorrow if you'd like."

"I'll have to ask the Smith parents if I could have outside of school activities first," Ley mentioned. "So, I'll let you know."

"That's okay," Jia responds. "So... now that introduction's over. Would you want to officially join the Weird Club?"

"But first, let us introduce our characters," Jia said excitedly, matching the group's excited attitude. "I am Modena of Days. The smartest person in the universe."

"I'm Mist of Sins, the creator of the water universe," Rain softly introduces.

"I'm Nett of Sages, the world's hivemind leader," Joshua announces.

"I'm Ustra of Colors, the god of life and light," Rui declares.

"I'm Kaysian of Continents, the harbinger of infinite chaos," Sean proclaims.

"And I'm Lucent of Seas, the shadow of nowhere," Xander unveils.

"Interesting... seven days, seven deadly sins, seven sages, seven colors, seven continents, and seven seas," Ley remarked. "That's a well-thought-out theme you have."

"Thanks," Jia said happily. "So, to officially join the Weird Club, you must create your character and choose a group that has seven members."

"Vessel of Virtues. The ultimate source of darkness," Ley declared instantly, having only been informed just a second ago.

"That was fast," Jia said surprisedly as others nodded in approval. "That's a great character."

But just as they were sitting in their seats, comfortable and happy in their rapports, three gentle knocks came from outside the room.

Ley wanted to take the initiative, opening the door out of politeness and as the newest member of the group, but Jia stopped him.

"Let's see who it is first," Jia says, pressing a hidden button just below the table within her reach, revealing the seven screens beneath the tabletop.

Woah... That was some cool sci-fi technology stuff. Ley observed.

"It's Felix Smith," Jia declared, as everybody watched the tall and handsome golden-brown-haired boy patiently waiting as he stood outside the door.

"I think he's here for me," Ley explained, quickly getting up from his seat to meet Felix at the door.

"It's fine; you should go now. We're done here anyways," Jia says. "We'll just see you tomorrow, then."

Hearing the farewell Jia gave to him and the fistbumps of farewell the others gave him, Ley immediately went to meet Felix at the door.

"Hey," Ley greeted Felix as he opened the door, allowing him to briefly see the Weird Club members before the door closed.

"I've been looking for you," Felix responded. 'The bus was waiting for us."

"Oh. I'm sorry about that," Ley quickly apologized.

"No, it's fine," Felix said flatly. "Let's just go home."

Felix led the way while Ley followed him like a puppy as they walked the grand hallway of the prestigious school to meet the parked school bus at the entrance.

Heh... I thought everybody would at least be slightly annoyed that I delayed the bus, but they're surprising calm and unbothered... Ley observed as he stepped inside the bus, watching the students in front of him. I think it's because I'm a Smith by association, though it's not right for me to cause trouble others just because of a name.

Okay! The seats aren't fully occupied. But... why am I getting a vibe that I shouldn't sit in the empty seats? Ley noticed as he stared at the empty seats and visible expressions of those students near them. I should just follow Felix at the end and ask if it's alright to sit there.

Ley's footsteps were silent, yet they echoed the fast-beating hearts of the other students who kept their eyes on him as he walked over to the very last row where the Star Triad sat.

"May I sit here?" Ley said casually, asking Mikayla, who was sitting at the center of the row with Felix and Jay.

The students who were watching the interaction and even the driver paused out of fear as they waited for Mikayla's answer, terrified that she might answer with hostility.

But Mikayla knew to accept and agree with Ley's question with elegance and grace, knowing that Felix needs her to.

"Sure," Mikayla answers friendly.

The once terrified students observing Ley became amazed with how he was able to sit in the row where the Star Triad sat.

No one has ever sat with the Star Triad unless it's with another star. A student journalist, watching behind, thought so.

Ley took the window seat near Felix's right because it was the only seat that he'd be comfortable enough to take, as he's the only friend he has on the bus.

And so, just as Felix and Ley were the first ones to be picked up by the school, they were also the first ones to be dropped off at their house.

Everybody on the bus kept their gazes at Ley and Felix even after stepping off the bus, hovering in their seats as they got off.

There they finally confirmed the rumor—that Ley was a Smith by association, having been adopted by the Smiths—the moment they entered the Smith residence.

"I should probably get to my room," Felix says as his attitude becomes more comfortable after entering the house, away from the eyes of Goltear's students.

"You're already going to study, huh?" Ley responded.

"Yeah, why?" Felix responded back. "Are you planning on doing something different?"

"Well, I'm not going to study, that's for sure," Ley answered. "But I am going to have a meryenda."

"Mer–yen–da?" Felix said confusedly, giving Ley a puzzled look.

"Oh, sorry. I flipped my words," Ley smiled widely, explaining. "It's just the Tagalog word for 'snack,' which means I'm having a snack."

"What was that smile?" Felix offendedly questioned.

"Sorry," Ley apologizes. "But the way you said 'meryenda' with an accent was cute, and I couldn't help myself."

"I see," Felix replied embarrassedly.

"Well... I was going to invite you to a snack, but I forgot I don't have any money," Ley said disappointedly. "And it's not like you're going to accept the invitation even if I did have the money."

"What does that mean?" Felix asked, furrowing his brows as he waited for Ley's answer.

"Hmm... I would love to eat pepperoni pizza right now," Ley mumbled.

"I'll order you one," Felix said instantly. "But you'll have to give me an answer."

There it is! He's quite easy. Hehehehe. Ley smirks.

"Really? Thanks,' Ley said innocently as he immediately went straight to the kitchen dining table.

The story follows the life of a sixteen-year-old Filipino boy who witnessed his family's murder, causing him to awaken his supernatural abilities.

Unable to bear the sudden grief, his mind went into a comatose state.

Waking up, he found himself on a bed unfamiliar to him, surrounded by a house he'd never remembered stepping in.

Inside the house, he met nice people, generous and empathic ones that called themselves his foster family, a family that adopted him.
