BUNNY
Competition week was going smoothly. No problems occurred, which made it easier for us. Emil was also doing great; he had amazing results and was one of the top competitors with his scores. My friend was the pride of the Beackman family, always doing his best, but after our conversation the night before, I felt sorry for him. He had to focus on his routines while having the biggest distraction so close and yet far. Fated mate bonds were difficult to ignore, and Samir Li was an asshole for avoiding him all this time. Deep down, I liked to believe that one day all will be solved. Now, as I was finishing tending to the horses, excitement grew in my chest for my date with Keegan.
“Chardonneigh, are you ready to go on a ride?” I said to my horse with a smile.
At first, I didn’t have horse riding experience, but after my first Christmas in The Ranch, the Beackmans gifted me a horse, a beautiful kiger mustang stallion. I had trained a lot, but as a fast learner, I became a professional at riding. But to this day, Chardonneigh was the only horse I rode. All of a sudden, an odd feeling crept through my whole body, making me lose my composure for a moment. But as sudden as it came, it passed.
‘Are you okay?’ Mir asked in my mind, and I nodded.
‘I think so.’ I took a deep breath.
‘What was that anyway?’ He asked, and I shook my head.
‘I don’t know. I hope it’s nothing. I don’t want to miss our date.’ I mentioned. I hope I was not getting sick. Not now.
‘Let’s hope it was nothing.’ Mir said, and I nodded. I look up to see Chardonneigh staring at me.
“I’m okay, buddy.” I said to my horse, giving him a little snack. I put that strange feeling aside; nothing was going to stop me from going on a riding date with my Keegan.
KEEGAN
The past days had been eye-opening to me, and today I finally found the courage to confess my feelings to Meadow. Competition week had all of us busy, but I couldn’t wait until it was over to tell him. That’s the reason why I had planned a date with him. Riding the horses had been a bonus. I had been wanting to take Blizzard on a ride ever since I saw him again. I probably was rusty, but I still wanted to do it. Was I nervous? Yes, absolutely.
‘You got this. You can do it, Keegan.’ Keith encouraged me. I took a deep breath and walked the way to the barn. When I entered, I saw Meadow with his horse Chardonneigh already saddled and ready to go for a ride. As always, he looked gorgeous.
“Hey, Bunbun.” I said with a smile, grabbing him from the waist with my free hand and planted a soft kiss on his lips.
“Hi, babe.” He said between the kiss with a smile, and then I broke the kiss apart. “Sorry, I went ahead and got Chardonneigh ready.”
“Don’t worry. I am also excited to go out. I can’t wait to get some air after all the stress I’ve had this week.” I said with a deep sigh.
“That bad, huh? We are going to be over soon. No need to worry, babe.” He said, caressing my cheeks to comfort me, and I appreciated it. As a teenager, I didn’t realize how stressful preparations for competition weeks were, but now, as an adult, I respect my family more for doing it every year.
“I don’t know how you all do it.” I said, leaning to my head to his touch.
“We are used to it. Now, I left a saddle and the bridle outside of Blizzard’s stall.” He said with a smile and then arched a brow funnily at me. “You still remember how to do it, right?”
“I do, Bunbun.” I said, puffing my chest. Some things you never forget. “But you can check later, just in case.”
“I sure will.” Meadow giggled.
I gave him a soft peck on the lips, handed him a picnic basket I had ready with the help of Cecil, and then walked to Blizzard’s stall. I grabbed the things to prepare my horse to ride and walked into the stall. I took a moment to admire Blizzard. My parents always had the tradition of gifting a horse to us once we were old enough to ride without supervision, and since Blizzard came into my life, he had been the only horse I rode—until I left for New York. He was my favorite horse, and it felt nice to be able to be with him again.
“Hey, bud. Are you excited to go out?” I asked my horse, petting his head softly.
“Neigh.” The horse answered me, and I let out a chuckle.
“I know we are both rusty, but please don’t make me look like a fool. I have to impress my omega.” I begged him, and he just let out another sound. I gave him an apple and started to get him ready.
With Blizzard ready and after Bunny checked, I had done a good job, we walked out of the barn. Soon, we were both on our horses and riding at a slow pace towards the lake. I had been nervous at first, but along the ride, I felt happy and free. A feeling that I realized I had missed all this time. Out of all my brothers, I had always been the one interested in technology; therefore, I made it my career. But despite being a tech guy, riding Blizzard was something I always enjoyed.
“So? How does it feel to ride again?” Meadow asked, breaking me away from my thoughts.
“It feels great. I missed this.” I said with a genuine smile, looking at him.
“Yeah, there’s something about riding horses. It’s just so healing, you know.” He mentioned it with a smile.
“I heard you learned how to ride here, and now you teach kids.” I mentioned, and he nodded with a proud smile.
“I do, yes. With Emil. But since he was busy with practicing, I took over.” He explained, and I couldn’t help but finally admire his form, how he sat on the horse. I never knew how much of a turn-on someone riding a horse was until I met Meadow.
“And you are good at it. I might have seen you during class.” I confessed.
“You did? When?” He asked, surprised.
“Weeks ago.” I mentioned and then decided to confess the ‘incident’ I had that day. “You look sexy on a horse. Gotta admit you gave me a boner.”
“Good to know that.” He said with a soft blush on his cheeks, and then gave me a wink. “I can ride other things too.”
“Really? Tonight maybe? You can show me.” I asked with a flirty tone.
“Oh, I will.” He said with a sly grin. “And you look sexy riding a horse, too.”
“Okay. Let’s not start something we can’t finish.” I said with a huff, holding back from having another ‘incident’ in my pants. I decided to change the topic. “How’s Emil doing? Competition-wise.”
“He is doing great. But Samir is close behind him.” Bunny mentioned with a sigh. Just hearing his name made my blood boil. The image of that alpha trying to force himself on my omega made me rage.
“I don’t like that guy. I hate him.” I admitted out loud with a frown.
“Me too, but we are going to have to put up with him.” He mentioned, shaking his head softly.
Meadow’s statement made me wonder if I was missing out on something, but before I could ask him about it, he changed the topic. At last, we arrived at the lake and let the horses drink some of the water before tying them up to some trees. I opened a blanket on the grass and organized what I brought in the picnic basket. We ate as we talked about how our weeks were going while eating. With the food done, we cuddled on the blanket and I thought it was the perfect time to confess my feelings, but the words wouldn’t come out of my mouth. I had no idea what to say to him.
‘Do it. Do it now.’ Keith said in my mind.
“Meadow, there’s something I need to tell you.” I gathered the courage to do it.
“Oh. What is it?” He asked with curious eyes, looking up at me from where his head laid in my chest.
“I know we are both still worried about the future. I have also liked courting you and spending time with you. You are all I can think about lately.” I started saying, his brows furrowed at my confession, and I continued. “And I know we skipped steps, many of them. But I just want to tell you, I like you. A lot. Would you like to be my boyfriend?”
“Oh, Keegan. I like you too. Of course, I want to be your boyfriend.” Meadow said with a big smile, and then he kissed me, sending sparks all over my body.
Before our make-out session got any more intense, I broke the kiss and suggested we finish what we'd started in my room. Meadow accepted, and soon we were back on our horses again. However, I had to admit, riding a horse with a boner was not fun. Once we left the horses back in the barn, I took my omega’s hand and walked to the house and then to my room.
As soon as the door closed behind us, our lips joined, and our hands were on each other’s bodies, trying to get rid of all the clothes we wore. Meadow let out a moan between kisses, and a sudden, sweet, potent scent started to fill the room. The scent went all the way down to my cock. Meadow pushed me away and walked to the bed, taking off every piece of clothing he still had on. Slick was dripping out of his entrance all the way down his legs. I swallowed hard at the view. Meadow dropped onto the bed.
“That excited, huh?” I asked, but didn’t get an answer. I approached the bed with worry. “Are you okay, Bunbun?”
“Keegan…” Bunny called for me with hooded eyes. “Alpha…”
“Oh, shit.” I cursed out loud, realizing what was happening. The sweet scent, the hooded eyes on Meadow, and my need to hold him so badly.
Meadow was in heat.
